Wiring choice given
The switch has wiring tails for “always open “and “always closed” which is great. Switch seems substantial. Graphics are engraved and flooded so will not wear off as the surface printed ones

Built to last
I've used this to replace an exit button which was basically of a spring-retracted light switch design. Those are all well and good when used as doorbell buttons, but for the amount of use an exit button gets they can - and do - wear out. Hundreds of staff, once or twice a day, 5 days a week... it soon adds up to an awful lot of button presses. The SecureMyDoor plate is fitted with an ITW 76-94 series switch, mechanically rated in ITW's datasheet for 2 million presses, so should last far longer than a spring-loaded light switch! The model I ordered came with a deep, metal back box, but the job required a surface box so I've used one we already had available. Compared to a "light switch" button these are quite deep, although the connecting wires can be bent to make a bit more room if required, I used what I think was a 32mm box, normally used for data outlets. There are two sets of contacts, one normally open (in this instance black and white wires) and the other normally closed (red and blue wires), so whichever you need, this switch should do the job. The plate does come with a reference sheet listing the wiring colours for the various switch models available, so it's easy to figure out which pair to use and I got the wiring right first time.(A tip for Paxton Net2 installers: if the door reader is flashing green constantly but shouldn't be, try holding down the green button. If it locks after a few seconds, then flashes green again as soon as you let go of the button, you've used the wrong switch contact.)Definitely an upgrade over the old "light-switch" design, but check whether DDA requirements stipulate that you need a push plate instead.

Good NO/NC switch, not sure if it will switch UK Mains as claimed.
This switch is nicely finished in brushed stainless steel with no sharp edges. The engraved/recessed painted lettering will ensure that the lettering lasts. The big green button is hard to miss, useful if you've got dirty hands.A 30mm/1.25" galvanised pattress is supplied for sinking into a wall. If you want surface mount, you'll have to source your own suitable pattress, choosing a rounded corners one to match the switch front plate. Two 25mm/1" pattress screws are also supplied. The supplied information leaflet is one of those which covers multiple variations of switch configurations. Matching the four tail colourss to the leaflet, I concluded that the switch supplied was a combination Push to Make/Normally Open or Push to Break/Normally Closed switch. Of some concern is the fact that the matching switch configuration on the leaflet states that the contacts are rated for '2Amp @ 12 & 24VDC' - please see the red starred section on the leaflet picture. The switch description, however, claims 5A / 250V - I'm not sure what to believe but it's not a problem for me as the switch will be switching 24V for a garage door opener. Just looking at the switch, I wouldn't trust it for 5A/250V. The wires used for the tails are 300V rated, though - see pic..The switch including preattached tails projects ~40mm/1.5" from the rear of the front plate, so you'll need a deep pattress to not foul on the tails' spade connectors. Careful bending of the spade terminals may enable you to just fit into a 35mm surface pattress. If using the supplied 30mm/1.25" galvanised pattress, recessing the front edges of the pattress itself by about 10mm/0.5" would give the tails room without having to bend the spade connectors. In summary, a good switch but information could be more consistent. Perhaps a bit pricey.

Sturdy and sleek
Sturdy build: The brushed stainless steel construction of this exit button is undoubtedly impressive. It has held up well in our busy environment, and I have no doubt it will continue to do so for a long time.Sleek design: The flush mount design is a great feature, as it seamlessly blends with the wall, contributing to a clean and streamlined look. This not only enhances the aesthetics but also eliminates any potential hazards from protruding components.User-friendly: The 'PRESS TO EXIT' mechanism is simple and user-friendly. It serves its purpose effectively for quick and easy building exits, which is essential in our setting.Versatility: I appreciate that this button is compatible with various access control systems and can be used in different types of buildings. It's a versatile choice for different applications. However, the reason I didn't give it a perfect 5-star rating is due to one minor issue:Lack of illumination: It would have been beneficial if the button had some form of illumination, especially for nighttime use. While the green dome button is noticeable during the day, it can be challenging to locate in low-light conditions. Adding a subtle LED illumination would greatly enhance its usability.Price: The price is quite expensive even though it does the job well. I’m just hoping it will be more affordable. In summary, the 'PRESS TO EXIT' button is a reliable and durable choice for access control systems. Its sleek design and compatibility make it a valuable addition to any building. With a small improvement in illumination and price, it would undoubtedly deserve a full 5-star rating.
