Great product easy to fit and worked alongside salto door access in a fire exit

This item is absolutely brilliant!The functionality of the item is brilliant, it has an LED indicator to show if the door is fully locked. The electric magnet and the metal plate has to be perfectly aligned and level for the door to properly lock. The value for money for this item is brilliant as you receive brackets, the electric magnet, the plate and screws. The instructions provided are not accurate for all access control systems so use the instructions provided with your access control system to fully use this item. I would 100% recommend.

This electromagnetic door lock kit comes in a plain cardboard box and inside you’ll find the electromagnetic door lock, lock magnet, drilling template, wiring instructions, various fixing screws and bolts, and 3x L-shaped bracketsThe first thing I noticed about this lock was that it was rather substantial. It is incredibly well-built and designed to withstand a hammer. It is designed to be supplied by a 12v or 24v power source that must deliver at least 0.5Amp (12v) or 0.25Amp (24v). The relay contacts are rated for 1 amp. When electricity is provided to the magnetic plate, the magnet is attracted and adheres to it. When power is gone, the magnetism stops and the two magnets detach, allowing you to open the door.Installation was simple as the magnet was attached to my door and the main body was attached to the interior frame, so they closed together to make contact. I used an old 12v power supply, and it seemed to operate fine with this. It is hooked into my home security fob, so when I present it to my reader, it disables the lock and allows me to unlock the door. Once the lock detects that the door is closed, it restores the power, causing the magnets to become magnetic again and holding the door closed. The magnetism is quite strong, and I am convinced that the door will give way before the magnets release their grip since they are so powerful. There is also an LED on the side of the main device that illuminates red when unlocked and green when it is locked.This was much easier to install than I expected; the only trouble I had was getting power to it because it is somewhat far from a plug socket. I just extended the wires and hid them behind the doorframe. You will need some type of switch on the positive power wire so that you can easily turn off the electricity. I was using my fob system, but a simple push-button momentary switch would be sufficient.I’m really impressed with this kit, especially as it is supplied with 2x L shaped brackets to help with the installation. You may not need them for your door, but they are handy if you need to support the main body in a different position. The only downside to this lock is if you have a power cut. If the lock loses power, then the magnetism stops working so the door can be opened. You can wire a battery in parallel to take over in the event of power loss if high security is needed. A really strong magnetic door lock which is built to last…

The kit I ordered came with instructions made for different kit.To expensive compared to othersI am afraid I can’t recommend this product

Good product, a bit to hard to install it.Didnt had any instruction in set.This is excellent item which ensuring a secure and strong locking mechanism.Price for 1 I think is a bit to expensive to.
