Q: Supplements for nitric oxide are not good. The best source for nitric oxide is real beets and beet juice -- this the what Berkeley Test measures for?

L-Arginine & L-Citrulline is the health food store capsules is what I took. After taking these capsules, I can get a pink color on the sample strip, with out the supplement my tests report white color which indicate that I am depleted of Nitric Oxide. The L- Aginine with L- Citrulline definitely gets results for me. Read, No More Heart Disease, the book written by Dr Louis J. Ignarro . I have not tried eating the beats and juice, although I do like beats. Perhaps I could try eating beats for a couple of days and then testing to see if I can get a good test result from that method.

Q: how is one supposed to use these test stripsp; there are no directions, except "don't put strip in mouth"...huh?

directions are in picture form on the side of the container. you put the "saliva here" end in your mouth to collect the saliva-remove from mouth and then bend strip in half-touch the pad ends for 3 seconds-open and wait 45 seconds- check color against the container for your measurement.

Q: Has anyone seen anything except the pale pink color (low)?

Hi, I often had a low NO reading when I first started out trying to boost my levels. I started out by testing my levels on my previous regiment which was a high protein and low carb diet with minimal cardio exercising - my baseline was low! I started researching further and found that by adding in more leafy greens (such as spinach and arugula) and drinking beet juice regularly that my levels started hitting threshold/target! By layering in cardio exercise 3/4 times a week I started getting target/high readings. Nitric oxide is not a simple topic. There are many things that work for many different people but what I've found is that optimizing your diet is #1... then exercise! Well, for me anyway! Start by adding some large servings of greens and beets to your diet and see what happens next. I hope this helps. I love this product.
