Fastest e-ink device I've ever used.
I sent this back initially, but bought another since they fixed the bugs in OS 4.0.It's very good device, if you understand the limitations of e-ink, esp colour e-ink. There are lots of videos showing how fast BSR (BOOX Super Refresh) is, albeit at the expense of battery life. However, if you read a book, the tablet goes into low-power mode, and the battery lasts ages. At full load it draws 450-550mah, on low power it drops as low as 110mah, or even 28mah with the frontlight off. So it really depends upon the demands you make of the device. It can do anything within reason for an e-reader; annotate, export edited pages as a pdf, record your voice, open just about any word document, word process, draw (sort of) surf the internet, watch videos, emails, whatever. It's well made, no creaks, with a nice matte surface.

Pen breaks and boox won't replace
Pen nib keeps breaking off by getting stuck in the cap, they tell me I shouldn't be using the pen cap. Boox have dismissed my concerns and are not helpful at all, and given how expensive it is, I'd expect at least a replacement pen, but they have refused. The pens are expensive, I shouldn't have to replace a defunct product.

Best product to fulfil my wishlist
Bought this product primarily to replace my 12 yo Sony E-reader. Chose this because I mainly read books from libraries, I wanted to be able to also borrow audio books and magazines, the other functions, note taking etc. I considered a bonus. An android tablet was the only device that would fulfil my wish list. I wanted e-ink.Having used the tablet just to read with front light off (to simulate similar to the Sony E-reader) the battery last just under 2 weeks compared to 4 for the Sony E-reader but I expected that. There are multiple settings that can enhance the reading experience depending on what is being read, where it's been obtained from and the physical setting you are in.The pen for note taking is very responsive, the keyboard typing less so. The pen attached reasonably well to the tablet, provided you position correctly which is slightly higher than you might initially expect. I also bought the cover which increased the weight. The pen still attached OK with the cover on.I am yet to explore and familiarize myself with all the other functions. All in all I'm very pleased with the product, it fulfils the main requirements for my purchase.

Brilliant
This device is a distraction free digital notebook and E-reader. It feels great to write on and even sounds like you are using a pencil. Yes, you can tell the difference between paper and this, but it is more like paper then an Ipad. I had the note 3 c for a short time before this one and the 4 c is so much faster and all round better. If you've never owned an e-ink tablet before, it does take a bit of getting used to. The screen does flicker when it refreshes, this is normal, and all E-ink's do this. You can:Surf the webUse Microsoft and other apps.Connect a keyboard and mouseMake handwritten notes without having to type them onto a computerSync and copy things across, apart from Apple only apps i.e Apple calendarThere is a long list of features and apps this device has built in which are great. I suggest you first read up on it before buying it to make sure this is right for you. The boox 10.3 Go series is black and white only and will suite someone who only want to read and write. The boox pro series would suite someone looking for a more powerful tablet that can be more like a laptop. The note air 4 c sits in the middle of the Boox range. It is NOT an Ipad and will NOT function in the same way as an Ipad. It is NOT as fast or as smooth as an Ipad. The colours on the screen do NOT look anything like a computer or Ipad. So, if you are looking for something like an ipad, get an Ipad. If you are looking for something as a study aid or a professional work aid this, is it.

Great pen-to-paper feel, but poor UX
While the pen-to-paper experience is great, the ghosting artifacts is a major issue, and the device is too slow. The User experience generally is clunky as there are too many steps to achieve simple tasks. Efficiency is essential.

Perfect note taking
I’ve had this for about a month now, and I’m delighted with it. The note taking works really well. The colour is perfectly good for my needs. If I lost it, I’d replace it immediately.
