Excellent quality product
Needed something to cover the decorative oval glass insert for our front door. Curtains blinds etc. did not seem to be a good option. However, folks could see IN at night through the clear glass sections, and the frosted glass sections created a kaleidoscope effect with passing car lights while inside. Ugh. So despite having little to no success with other window privacy films for prior projects, I purchased this.It is packaged with the tools you need for the job. Instructions are clear. Backing is ruled however since I was cutting an oval I placed it over the door insert and traced the oval frame with a crayon. Cut that out, peeled off the backing (the hardest part). Used the spray bottle with a bit of dish soap and water per instructions. Sprayed glass. Placed product on glass, smoothed it out. Used the card thingy to remove the few bubbles. Next, I had to cut the extra (since I measured by the frame. Couldn't figure out instructions for the razor. Eventually used a nail scissor to cut the excess, a bit tedious but ok.And whaddya know? It's perfect. Thick enough frosted privacy that it evened out the clear vs. frosted glass panes. Stayed put. No bubbles. Still allows daytime light but night time problem solved. A great, inexpensive, solution.

Plants get their daylight, we get our privacy!
I needed something for our bathroom that would provide a level of privacy during the day so that my plants would receive daylight without us having to continually close the blinds. Of course I expected that we would need to close them when taking a shower since we have a walk in shower with no door. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of privacy. You absolutely cannot see into the room at all. We have not needed to close the blinds ever. It's surprising to me because I'm a very private person and never expected a window film to give a level of privacy that would make me feel that comfortable. I have stood outside our windows like a creeper when it's dark outside and the bathroom lights are all on and there's condensation on the windows from my husband showering and I was not able to see in at all. Something has to be completely against the window to be able to tell what it is. You can see an example of that with the middle window that shows the outline of an outside plant against it. I've had the film on for several weeks and am not at all concerned that it will come off. It's not showing any signs of that happening. It also was extremely easy to apply. You just need to make sure you're working with a completely clean window and use slow steady pressure when working the bubbles to the edge of the film. There's no need to press hard. I would recommend this product 1000% as well as the company. I messed up one of my windows. It had to do with the grid on a new roll and was my fault because i didn't re-measure. I contacted them to see if they would consider a discount on what I needed to replace since I had purchased a large amount previously. They opted to just ship me a replacement which was so kind. Top notch product and top notch company!

Buy the correct size!
Our front door has a HUGE window and you can see out just as clearly as you can see in. The first photo is the cling done correctly (aka my second attempt and the right fit for the window). It lets in lots of light while maintaining our privacy. You will need some patience to get out those bubbles, but overall it was an easy project and looks great! Probably took about ten minutes. The second and third photo show my first attempt, and I thought I could buy the cheapest, and smallest, one to save money. Well, if you use the cling in sections, it’ll create lines and I’m not a big fan of that. No matter how close you line it up, it’s not going to get rid of the lines. Trust me. It’s definitely up to your preference though. When I took down the cling, it was super easy and left no residue. So, make sure you buy the correct size for your window and don’t take the “cheaper” route!

It works, but it also lights up at night like clouds in the night sky
I bought this because my bedroom window is located right by the entrance for my apartment complex, so every person exiting goes right by in their car. I believed this was the solution, I still get natural light without all the exposure. Because of my the way my room faces it didn't get as much light as I hoped, but that wasn't a product issue. What you can call a product issue or side affect is the way it behaves at night. Because the film diffuses light, at night a beam of light that would travel straight through the glass and onto the wall instead gets diffused. I haven't noticed that my room is a lot brighter than before, to say it's a lamp shade would be too far. But I'd compare it no low clouds at night, the sky looks brighter but it doesn't make you see the ground a whole lot better.Despite my observations, I'd still recommend it. While translucent curtains will have the same diffusion problem, they can be drawn and moved how you like it.

Works great! Take your time.
Works well! Can be a little tricky so what I did was make a template and then trace it and then cut.Be careful using a pencil or pen to do this - the pencil mark though light, was not easy to erase. If you dont need to use a pen or pencil at all that would be best.It does come lined for easy cutting but my window panes did not line up to them.Use lots of water and spray the window - ensure its clean of any debris prior. Rubbing alcohol to clean the glass prior is a good idea. There was some bubbles but I rubbed the window and then days later they worked themselves out. Looked better and better as days passed.Overall I love the way this came out - took me maybe 1 hour to do 4 average window panes in a door. The hardest part was measuring the windows and making the template. It has transformed my door and I wish I took a before photo - still working on the door but I love the way it looks. The light is filtered and warm and gives a great ambience to my kitchen.
