Does this make the water have more pressure in the hose line?

I can’t say it has more pressure but it doesn’t have any less. Love it. You can still get water out with the hose hooked up to sprinkler

Is this latex free?

The entire outside portion of it (everything that you can see on the outside of it) doesn’t have/isn’t made from latex, but I’m not sure if anything inside of it that you cannot see with from the outside with the visible, has any latex in it.  It’s “O-Ring” or “Washer” that it came with could definitely potentially be made of latex though.  I’m honestly not sure, and I doubt that I even still have it’s manufacturer’s packaging.

However I will caution you…the one that I just bought off of here [Amazon] (directly from the manufacturer of the item) didn’t even last me 3 months, before I could no longer get a tight seal at the junction where this item is connected to my outdoor spigot, which resulted leaking at this junction.  And I use it what no more than 3 days a week, and with the longest duration of continuous water flowing it no more than 2 hours straight, MAX, maybe 1-2x a month.

And It actually leaks quite an impressive amount of water unfortunately; it’s not just a few drops of water, it’s a constant, steady steam of water leaking.  I’ve even tried changing out it’s ‘O-Rings’/“Washers” with some brand new ones to see if that would stop the leaking and it didn’t.

I have this item’s competitor/competitor’s brand (Melnor) that I have at the outdoor spigot on the other side of my house, and I’ve had their competitor’s one for almost three years and it still works great with no leaking at all, whatsoever.  I purchased this Aqua Joe one because all of the local stores in my area were sold out of the competitor’s one of this that I have (and that I love), and since it really is (at least in my opinion anyways) actually a very, very handy little gadget, believe it or not, so I didn’t want to wait for the competitor’s one to come back into stock somewhere, if it even has/does come back in stock sometime throughout the remainder of this year or not. And I’m kicking myself for not just vulturing websites online, waiting for my good ‘ol tried and true competitor’s one to come back into stock.  I’d go with their competitor’s (Melnor) one on/for this one.

Can the part that connects to the hose be on either the right or the left?

Yes it can.  You would just have to turn the entire Aqua Joe Multi-Function faucet attachment 180 degrees, where the front of the Aqua Joe Faucet attachment would then be facing the wall of your house.  If you did this, you wouldn’t be able to see what water output selection that the turn knob selector would be set to since that would also be facing the wall of your house also.

Personally I wouldn’t recommend this item.  It’s junk and last less than 3 months for me before it started leaking where the entire thing attaches to my outdoor faucet spigot. I have a similar one from the brand Melnor (The Melnor one is called a Wash and Fill) that I’ve had for over three years and it’s [the Melnor one] is still working great with no leaks.  The only difference between the Aqua Joe one and the Melnor one is that the Melnor one only has two water output functions, the hose and the “shower,” while the Aqua Joe one has three functions: the hose, the “shower,” and then “Full” [strong stream of water right at the faucet spigot].

Is it food  grade ?

I believe it is. You can turn the knob to have drinking water for the pets, it states that.  It’s nice and I like the features. Just wish it was able to attach an addl hose.
