Gives you a better grip while taking pictures. Works on iphones with magsafe compatibility/magsafe case as well as Android phones with magsafe casesButton only controls the minus volume button on your phone to take pictures. If you have a iphone 16 series the button does not control the built in camera control button on the phone. You can take pictures, just not go through the camera options by swiping and lightly pressingBluetooth connection works wellSeeing it’s a wireless device it needs to be charged. No replaceable batteryYou can pull out the button if you don’t have a selfie stick and trust someone doesn’t swipe your phone while taking picture of yourself while your phone stands on the table, bench, rock, etc.Good grip, way better than holding your flat phone. Still a bit small, if you have large adult sized hands you may be doing some finger curling. Might not be good if you taking conisistant shots as you may get finger fatigue. Maybe the size is more for Asian markets or teens with smaller hands?Using it as a stand is okay. There’s only one viewing angle. You can do multiple angles at first, but after several uses the hinge becomes loose and only stays in one positionTransitioning from horizontal and vertical orientation is not easy or smooth. The magnet is very strong, you need you take your phone off the device and change orientation, or use extra force to twist it which may scratch your phone or phone case.

Really a great tool for phone photography

Update - I had not installed the magnetic ring on my Iphone for this mount. I have a case with a magnetic back that worked but I did install the ring on my wife's Iphone. Mistake, cause the ring is just thick enough to keep her phone from making contact to the magnetic top of her night stand clock/radio that she uses to charge the iphone at night. So, bit of alcohol got the ring off so the entire thing now sits in a box of catch all in our garage.Used on a recent 7-day RV trip and a couple of issues. The magnetic mount doesn’t feel that secure. Perhaps over time I would get more confidence but during this trip I was constantly worried my iPhone would slip off the grip. While that in itself isn’t bad, the deal buster was the noticeable lag from when I pressed the button to when the camera would snap the photo. We were photographing along the shore and wanted to capture some stills and video of the waves breaking. I say we captured about 40% of the photos we wanted and it was all because of the lag. Perhaps if you are photographing a still or something you’re not timing for a particular shot (a wave breaking over a rock as an example) this might work but otherwise it was a failure for us.

This grip solves three problems for me. First, it simplifies the process for setting up a photo shot. The grip is much better than trying to hold phone, even with a good case. Second, the phone can mounted easily on a tripod or selfie stick and the integrated remote shutter release cannot be easily lost (mine always seem to get broken or lost). And, finally, the lanyard is secure and frees me up to use several cameras at one time without the fear of dropping my phone. Really happy with this purchase and have tested it on four continents so far.

This worked great for about 5 months. The magnet is pretty strong and the grip is comfortable. During those 5 months I used it less than 15 times, usually on trips or outings where I wanted to capture photos. I recently tried to use it to shoot photos of my kids’ school performance. I made sure it was fully charged but when I attempted to connect it by Bluetooth, I noticed the shutter button no longer works. Since the button doesn’t work, I can’t pair and since I can’t pair, I can’t take photos with it. Pretty disappointed by the quality.

This was my first purchase of this class of device; and I was initially impressed. But I find the ergonomics not quite good enough. The grip size is a bit TOO small. And I have often found it difficult to get my finger on the correct area of the shutter button. The removable shutter button is well done. I will probably return it.
