Not dishwasher safe
This is great tool for the kitchen saves lots of time chopping veg and slicing veg and salad seems very strong, don't put in dishwasher tends to buckle the plastic, so not dishwasher safe! Cannot find any mention of this.

Easy to use and clean
This has metal blades so actually cuts the vegetables smoothly. It is easy to use and doesn't require huge amounts of force to push the handle down. I must admit I got slightly excited and sliced more potato than I should have but it was so easy.

Not the best system
We had the type of mandoline where you have a pronged handle that holds the vegetable and then slide it over the blade. This one seemed like a good idea as it seems more safe to use (and it is), but some thing about the way you use it doesn't feel right (using this handle to bring it down in a guillotine fashion) and and feels clunky and inefficient. The movement of chopping is a much bigger range of motion than the normal mandoline and you lose the feel of the vegetable you're slicing. It's also larger than the mandoline we had before.

Poorly designed that it doesn't hold up long term. (less than 6 months)
I cannot recommended this to anyone to purchase due to the fact that I used it to cut onions and within 30 minutes the juices or some pieces that got into the railing for moving the blade up and down had caused it to become very stuck and difficult to free and move around. There is no way to clean this part of the product which was key to keeping it functional so I've been forced to throw it away.Additionally from inspecting it it seems like ease of cleaning was by far an after thought since there was rust present in the springs indicating that more than just one of my washes left water in that area that stayed during the drying process where I switch it's position multiple times. Finally the sharpness of the blades did seem good they are inconsistent which when coupled with the fact that there's gaps for what your chopping to get pushed against meant that parts wouldn't get fully cut and get stuck in the blades or go out the bottom of the product resulting in it missing the tiny tray.Certainly not worth the money I spent on this as it's got an inherent design and functionality problem as a result.

Good for batch slicing
One I got the hang of using it, it is very good if you have a lot of items to cut. I use it mostly for making batch sliced potatoes.
