Love these little pocket-sized books! The pages lay flat so you can draw or paint landscapes across a two-page spread. The paper is very nicely textured and heavy enough for watercolor without bleeding through. The binding is secure and well-made.

I purchased these to try out. I wanted hot press paper and there aren’t too many choices. Everyone wants cold press. I also wanted something that wasn’t too expensive and precious.I was actually pleasantly surprised by the paper. Really loved using my watercolors and it’s so small that it was really fun to fill up with small paintings. Will buy again.I will add. The books themselves aren’t incredibly tightly bound like some of my other more pricey ones but I was ok with that for the price.

Perfect for on the go watercolor play. I like the binding...fabric and stitched. Slight chemical smell when first opened - but it was plastic wrapped, so no big surprise.

I love this cute sketchbook! very convenient size, good quality, hot pressed paper, very soft texture. Its hard cover. I'm in love if them! And it's very lightweight to carry on. Highly recommend!

Takes water really well, the paper re-flattens as it dries. Does not curl. I painted the cover. Great quality.

This is a well bound book. It's cover is subtle but quite lovely. I bought a number of these to give to friends who like to create watercolor sketches when they are travelling or just have a short of time to spare. The paper is 100% cotton, a nice weight, and cold press which makes a great surface for watercolors. The size is small enough to fit in a small bag or purse, but large enough to create a good sized painting. My friends and I really enjoy working in this little book!

I just really love this little sketchbook! Paper quality is fine. Will bleed through with markers, but not watercolor. Texture is CP. Great, little book! Good value.

When I ordered this I thought the size would be fine. When I received the book, I thought maybe I misjudged myself and chose too small. It's actually not bad. It's just right for doing a little daily watercolor doodling. It'll be nice for traveling, since it's pocket sized.A far as performance, the paper is thick and sturdy. It didn't really warp. I did have to clamp it down with a paper clip, because being new the book wouldn't stay open. The paper seemed to stay wet longer than the other paper I have, so it allowed me to go a little slower. I did find that I needed to do more layers than I normally do, which was fine with me. The paper has a nice texture. The backside is a bit smoother. The tree I painted (on the backside) didn't quite go the way I planned as I lost my white spaces, but that may just be my inexperience. I did try to lift the paint and it didn't want to come up. All in all, I think I like this book. It's affordable and it fits my needs for the stage I'm at (novice).
