Great suction power.
I just got this vacuum and I am very impressed with the suction power. It has several height adjustments so it can clean all kinds of floors. It's very lightweight, but unfortunately I think that means cheaply made. The price was great though, so if it only lasts a couple of years, I'm fine with that.My last vacuum had a swivel head and it was self propelled, I do miss those features but for the money this is a great vacuum. The cord is also pretty long. I didn’t have to move the plug to reach both ends of my hallway from my luving room. It was also super easy to put together, no tools needed.

A Great Vacuum Cleaner
My review in 3 words: I Love It! The Bissell CleanView Rewind Upright Vacuum arrived at my home last night. It came nicely boxed with some minor assembly required. The assembly instructions are lacking but Bissell makes a great assembly video on You Tube. I watched that and assembly was a snap. Now it was time for a test spin so I selected my Master Bedroom and Bathroom. The first thing you notice is the cord rewind feature which is terrific. I then noticed that the Bissell is easy to move around; not clunky like my old vacuum. There are 5 floor settings and I found the suction to be very strong at the 3rd level when cleaning my bedroom carpeting. I used one of the dusting attachments on the want to clean the baseboard and crevices in the room and it is easy to use and works great.A great vacuum cleaner!

Good economical vacuum
Once I found several vacuums that met my must have list (bagless, dust brush, floor level control, ability to keep roller from tearing up carpet when using attachments), I chose this model for several reasons:The price $89 on saleThe weight (13.5 lbs)The decibel level (70) For me and my dog (80 dbs is getting to be too loud for them)I have not been disappointed. It does NOT scatter, it does not blow back in your face (a prior Bissell model I have is like using a blow dryer when the thing is on).The base is wide enough for good coverage, but does prevent getting into tight spots (around the toilet or between coffee table and couch). These things are nominal issues.Suction is great, and with five levels to choose from, it is easy to find a good compromise between cleaning and being difficult to maneuver. So far, I have only two minor complaints, but neither warrant docking a star:The cord keeper at the top (the doo-hickey to keep the cord from falling on the floor) does not really do it's job, and the dusting brush, just out of the box is too stiff to really clean well unless you keep it absolutely flat on the surface to be dusted. Trying an older, softer brush made a big difference.I end up getting a new vacuum every 2-4 years (NOTHING lasts), and I won't mind replacing this vs. a $600 vacuum. I've had both, and this cleans as well, if not better, than 'top end' sweepers.

Good vacuum for the cost
Pretty good still after a year of ownership. This vacuum has decent suction and picks up well. Easy to empty. It does not have a retractable cord, but I like that. Using the attachments is a hassle due to the short length of the flexible tube and it has developed a squeal when spinning down. I have been able to keep the squeal in check with cleaning and lubricating the moving parts.

Awesome for a picky person!
I am a vacuum snob and have been searching a very long time for one that has all the features that I want. This one is definitely it for me. I had reservations about it not being as wide as my others but have found that is a bonus as it can get in places others don’t. It has great power. Easy to use. Lightweight but powerful. The on-board tools are very handy and always available. Carpet and hardwood here. Works great on both. I don’t always need the long handle for close up but today I discovered that you can remove the hose and attachments for on the hose itself. Overall perfect vacuum. Only other thing that I wish it would have is lights. I’ve found that very useful on my cordless vacuum.

Bissell Clear View w retractable cord
I can’t speak of the longevity of this vacuum, but I’m very pleased with it so far. Having tried the battery stick type, the robot, and the canister, I like this upright the best. The stick vacuum battery died twice, and it was like $100 to replace. I liked the convenience, but not the expense or not being able to clean the floors while waiting for a new battery to arrive. The robot vacuum was also convenient, but in my opinion, it didn’t pick up nearly as well as a standard vacuum cleaner.. if you live in a house with large rooms and not too much furniture, the robot will be fine, but for small apartments, it bounces off every surface and goes over the same place three times, while missing other spots completely. And if you want to rearrange your furniture, you have to re-map the whole place. It would take 45 minutes and not do a great job.As for the canister vacuum, it was cumbersome to drag around, and it would kept getting caught when navigating around doorways.THIS ONE: It seems very well made and sturdy. I’m a senior, and it was easy for even me to put together. Just snap the hose ends in I put the extra brushes on their holders.. it has a long, retractable cord, which is a definite bonus -no more cords to tediously wrap around the handles. It does not make an annoying, high-pitched wine like some vacuums. It has a wand release and brushes to clean high areas like blinds or curtains, and low areas like baseboards. You can adjust the height for carpet or bar floor. I have a low pile carpet and I left the setting in the middle and it worked fine on my carpet and my kitchen floor. The suction power was great and I got quite a bit of dust out of my carpet. I also like that I can see what came off my floor and empty the container very easily. I think this vacuum is well worth the price and I highly recommend it.
