I wanted a dashcam primarily to protect myself in case of an accident, by recording my point of view, and secondarily to be able to pursue justice in case of deliberate harm, by recording the number plates of the wrongdoers, along with their faces and/or vehicles. After a long selection process, I chose the Nexdigitron Ace 2 (with GPS) dashcam. I chose it and like it because of the following reasons:Company.- Indian company & brand -- Enough said.- Made in India -- Sometimes, even though the company & brand are Indian, the product isn't made in India. But this product is made in India, as attested to on the box.Video.- Quality -- The video quality is great both at day and night. It serves my primary purpose very nicely. Though the glares from the lights are high at night. I hope to improve the video quality further by adding a CPL filter to remove the dashboard reflection.- Field of view -- It's important to have good field of view along with good video quality. One without the other is only half effective. The field of view is good. It's able to record the space near the front fenders of my car.- Number plate capture -- At day time it can capture number plates about 8 m away from it, particularly if both vehicles are moving slowly or are stationary. At night time that distance is about 4 m. Though, at night time, sometimes it can't capture the number plates straight ahead when they reflect my own headlight back at me. This needs more testing.- Watermarks -- The brand logo, timestamp, location and speed watermarks are small and have a transparent background colour. So they are unlikely to obstruct anything important in the video. To go a step further, they can also be individually switched off.Software.- No account -- There's no need to create a Nexdigitron account or to login into the app to use the product. And thank god for that. There's no need to remember or store yet another username and password. There's no need to try to remember them or search for them when you reinstall the app or change your phone. Just install the app, connect to the WiFi network (created by the dashcam) and use the product.- Privacy -- No account means that there's nothing linking my name, phone number, email address or my identity to my location history. If it collects any data, it would have to be anonymous. And an Indian company means that, even if it collects any anonymous data, that data would likely be stored and processed in India only and be subject to Indian laws.- App -- The UI is intuitive. The features are too many to list. I was surprised to see that it even has basic image and video editing features.Hardware.- Supercapacitor, not battery -- This should be helpful in prolonging life and increasing safety in the hot Indian weather.- Detachable camera -- This would be helpful in case of an emergency when I want to secure the evidence quickly.What could be better.- Night performance -- As mentioned before, glare and number plate capture at night could be better. But I can still live with it.- Emergency slider button (Suggestion) -- Presently, video can be locked using a voice command. But I wish there was an emergency slider button also, which locks the previous video, the current video at the time the button was switched on and all future videos until the button is switched off. This would be useful for recording and preserving multiple videos in case of an extended emergency.

I purchased Nexdigitron ACE2 with GPS Dashcam Overall featurewise its good one & budget friendly. There is Easy installation,GaadiCAM App is user friendly.GPS & Voice command works very well.Video quality of daytime is better.

I have been using this Dashcam Since June 2024 and very pleased with the camera quality and video recording.The advantage is :1. Long cable length for installation.2. Good camera quality and nice capture.3. a Dashcam with GPS co-ordinate and speed capture in less than 5,000 INR is worth buying , other Dashcam models go way beyond 10,000 INR.Scope of improvement :1. Sometimes the video comes grainy ( like pixelated , but very rare once in a 500 times )2. Sound capture is good but can be better , I feel last row sound is not captured properly3. The loop video duration is 1 min , 2 min or 3 min.. I feel 1:30 , 2:30 option can also be added. 1 min is way to small and 3 min is way to huge in size for the download.

Good at this price point. It has features as GPS and Speed logging in video.The video quality is not as per the 2K resolution. Good clarity in Night.Video gets blurry after speed of 30+ KM/H.Overall a decent product.

After searching and researching multiple kind of Dash Cameras, I decided to purchase the Ace 2 cam and after using it for over a month, I can say that I made a good decision.For the price, the Camera is loaded with features such as a screen, GPS logging, wide angle lens and HD recording.Tye Gaadicam app works flawlessly and the graphic telemetry while replaying videos is fun to watch.Due to it's compact form factor it easily hides behind my IRVM and it took me less than 30 minutes to install. The Camera is also detachable from the mount which is a very handy feature.Overall, very satisfied with the purchase.
