Fast and fun

I bought Sushi Go! for my nieces, and it’s been an absolute hit. The game is quick to learn, fast-paced, and full of fun – ideal for keeping everyone engaged. It’s great for all ages, so the whole family can join in, and each round is short, making it easy to play a few quick games. The cute sushi artwork adds extra charm, and it’s the perfect mix of strategy and luck. Highly recommend for family game nights.

Great gateway game to "proper" card games

Was in two minds as to whether to get this or the party edition but decided the jump in price wasn't worth it, it's fundamentally the same game and it will be easier for my non-gaming friends and family to pick up.And what a great little game it is! Everyone is raving about the artwork and portability so i'll focus on the gameplay - it's pretty well balanced with the target sets and the number of each card supplied and has the great drafting mechanic that makes it a lot more interesting than more conventional games. Cards and prints are fantastic quality, was pretty shocked at just how many cards they give you.Only thing I would criticise is that the rulebook doesn't quite explain things as well as I would've liked but I was lucky in that I've watched games being played and knew the basic gist of the game. Usual case of being told the specifics before the actual aim of the game and what you'll spend a lot of game time actually doing. Not played it with more than 3 people yet but i can imagine it's just as good with even 5 or 6, and it's not often you can say that. Adding more people will often slow a game down to a crawl or make it too chaotic but not here since you are constantly passing, choosing and receiving cards. I appreciate the additional 2 player rules but haven't tried that yet, looked a bit fiddly on first read but I'm sure they spent a lot of time developing them.My daughter was even besotted with it and played a few rounds with us, and she's only 3 and a half. By the end she was understanding that she needed to make sets of the different families of cards and she was really proud of how many points we told her she'd made.

Great game

Love this game! Everyone I've played it with has loved it too. Easy to pick up not like a lot of other games with super confusing rules. Small tin good for travel.

A fun, quick and easy game for couples, families and friends.

We bought this game as a quick one that we could play as a couple, but also share with friends. Learning the rules may seem a little daunting at first, but it takes only one round before you master them. We can speed through a game very quickly now, but each game still has good replayability. The game is played by dealing a certain number of cards to each player who then chooses a card to place in front of them. The remaining cards are passed onto the next player. This cycle is repeated until all cards are down (i.e. there are no more cards in the players hands). The cards that have been played earn points in special combinations, and ultimately the player with the most points at the end of each round, wins that round. As the name suggestions, it's sushi themed, and the cards are aesthetically appealing for players of all ages. I definitely think this game could be played with older children, but we play it as a couple of group of adults, and all involved enjoy playing time and time again.

Simple and Fun

Very easy to learn and play, it's a good fun and the short duration allows you to play several games. The cards are a bit delicate and difficult to shuffle without ruining them, I would recommend sleeves.

Short sharp game, simple concept but good depth of fun.

We are a bit of a board and card game family. My kids do spend a lot of time with their devices but I like to research and buy fun games to get us round a table together. Most work, some don't, and despite research i did wonder if this might be disappointing. I needn't have worried! The game is nice and quick, 20-30 mins tops, and is played in 3 rounds, each scored with a final bonus score 'round'. If you aren't used to some of the more funky games out there, then think Happy Families meets Old Maid but played in a Sushi bar!?!? Hmmm.. that might not have helped but essentially everyone is dealt a hand, you keep a card trying to make collections of scoring sushi dishes and then pass your hand to the player on the left getting the hand from the payer to your right. You keep going until you have no cards and then see what you have scored. The fun is from judging if you might get your hand back with cards you might need. Interestingly because of this game mechanic the game plays differently if you play with say 4 or 2. Great fun, a bit different and doesn't take forever. Well worth the purchase

It is a great fun game to play though

This was bought on a whim mostly due to the artwork! It is a great fun game to play though, very easy to learn, quick to set up and quick to play. Not needing a board it's one that will definitely have a place amongst 'travel games' good for train journeys or similar. The cards are a good quality with nicely printed images. The tin is solid and fits the cards neatly so you're not having to carry around a lot of empty box as is the case with so many other games. The enjoyment we found came from not knowing what was in the hands coming towards you, whether to go for the safe single scoring cards or try to complete a set. This can lead to joy when the last Sashimi you need comes into your hand or despair when you realise that someone else has drawn the card you need or even worse that there aren't enough in play anyway!
