BougeRV 10A PWM solar charge controller is easy to program
I bought 2 of these inexpensive 10 amp PWM controllers on sale for their portability and lithium charging capabilities to cycle 10 of my 20 -24ah LiFePO4 batteries. I teamed them up with my Elecaenta 75 watt portable folding solar panels and some adapter cables. I am impressed with the features and performance. The only downside I could find is the display can be hard to read under some lighting conditions.I like the ease of adjusting the LiFePO4 output voltage as my lithium batteries vary by recommended charging voltages from 14.4 to 14.6. When it gets towards the end of the charging cycle this controller also maintains the full voltage while gradually decreasing the current output to top off the battery.I have not encountered any error messages on either unit. I have read some reviews claiming the solar input value displayed is not same as the actual solar input value. The note on page 12 of the user manual explains the solar charging voltage displayed will be the same as the battery voltage in PWM mode. The true solar voltage is displayed when not charging (end of the charging cycle).

Great controller for the price.
BougeRV Li 30amp PWM Solar Charge Controller. I needed to replace my old solar charge controller with a unit that would fully charge a LiFePO4 battery. This charger had decent reviews, and the price was very good at the time of purchase. This controller is quite simple to set up. It allows you to set a range of options that include all the current battery types and provide display information that is easy to understand with a welcome backlight. I was hoping that I could find a controller that had Bluetooth connectivity, and this new unit has that. You will need to download the app and follow the instructions in the app. I monitored my charge from about 50 feet away and was able to connect and receive progress information without errors. What I like: Easy to set up. The Bluetooth connection is helpful. I also like that the unit allows for a wide range of battery types and particularly for the LiFePO4 type batteries.Dislikes: I did not remove a star because these are not operational issues. There are a few things that I found could be improved but did not hinder the operation. One is the connector hole for the wire is small. 30 Amp calls for at least 12 AWG wire but anyone wanting to extend the cabling 20 feet or so away from their panels will want something larger. I like to have at least 10 AWG wires. The connector holes may not be large enough to accommodate 10 AWG. However, BougeRV provides small spade connectors. They are rather thin gauge. When installed, the plastic insulator will not fit all the way into the opening. The plastic must be crushed to reduce the size. Another thing is the confusing picture of the 30 Amp controller in the manual. The 30 Amp unit picture shows a set of heat cooling fins on the bottom. However, there are no fins. This makes one believe that they did not receive the 30 Amp unit. The model number on the unit says 30 Amp and I confirmed with customer service that this was the correct unit. It just no longer has cooling fins.Overall, this is a very good controller for the price, and yes, I would recommend it.

can only run small 12v setups
do not buy unless you are running a vary small system i got it for 4 100watt panels setup as 24v it would never read over 14v and never produced over 150-200watts traded it out with a renogy now i get 360watts

Solid product
I've bought a few charge controller's over the past 5 years or so. I went this one mostly due to the name, reviews and price. I have bought a few of their products in the past and have been super impressed with the quality, given the price. This controller doesn't stray far from my prior thoughts. I like how it does not scroll through 5+ different values like the others I have. I really just want to know what the current battery's charge is at and how many amps am I getting from my panels. I know on this and most controllers you can hit a button to scroll through, but most of the time I just glance at it till I see what I'm interested in. With this just showing the battery and input values (with a shot interval), I'm not wasting time watching this thing. Also this was super easy to setup. Was my first time using a LiFePO4 battery and it already had the correct settings (but would of been real easy to adjust). I also liked how they included the connector spades (although making them Heat Shrink would of been even better). Some folks have said it's hard to read in direct sun and I would agree but I really didn't see this as a big issue. Like my headline said, it's a solid product and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Works well for the price.
This is a pwm charge controller, so you have to remember they work best with short runs of cord (10-20 ft), and with panels in parallel. Very easy to read and set without directions. This is ideal for a portable setup, rv, trailer, or something directly outside your window. Running 4 100 watt panels in parallel you will close in on 300 w atts, but don't expect too much more. Depends on the panel too. I use Newpowa which typically run about 70%. HARBOR FREIGHT, Bouge RV and HQST panels have about the best output in the 100-watt category, but they are a little bit bigger. This is my fifth one of the lithium pwm series.

A low-priced solar charge controller with low-priced features
Seems to work okay enough to charge my LiFePO RV battery (12V, 100Ahr). Supposed to cut out at a max V of 14.6, but often keeps charging at 15+V, which is not ideal but makesme also question my BMS. Display is nearly impossible to read if not mounted directly at one’s eye level. Seems to have no contrast if not seen directly head-on. This is regardless of using the backlight, or not. The wire mounting lugs are so tiny (PH1) and recessed in tiny holes (< 0.25”) that it’s difficult to use a normal screwdriver. Since most panel and battery wires (for an RV system) are 10AWG or larger, the lugs are insufficient to secure such wires. They seem more appropriate for a max 2A setup than a 20A setup. Low price, but just beware of some capacity concerns.
