Great brush set
Hmm, what to say. Ok, these brushes are as advertised. They love water. They handle wonderfully. The tubes are tight so no worries about them coming apart. If I had any complaint at all it would be that they are far more large than you'd be thinking they be. They are huge for a travel brush. The barrels, when put together, are more akin to the length of an oil brush than a watercolor brush. However, this isn't a bad thing. They are also thick which is great from someone with mobility issues or prone to hand cramps. Again, I can't find anything really to complain about. They are exactly as advertised. You'll never have any issues sucking up the water & pigment. The tips always find their points. The brushes are soft enough to get great gradients yet firm enough to spring back. Just be prepared for a longer fater barreled brush. Would I recommend, yes. Especially for people with hands issues whom need more girth in their barrels.

Great value, excellent quality!
I bought this set of three brushes for about 2/3 the price of the one Princeton Aqua Elite Travel Brush I got at the same time. All are excellent. I have several of the Princeton brush, so there were no surprises there. But these Golden Maple brushes were just as good (and maybe prettier, with the stained/varnished wood handles) and yet cost a fraction of the Princetons. Time will tell how they hold up., but I see nothing to suggest a future problem with them. The only thing that might matter to some painters is that the Princeton brush does come to a very fine, sharp point, and the Golden Maple brush of the same size is just slightly less pointy. For me, this is a plus: I hate super-pointy brushes. One other thing is sizing. The size 12 Round in this set is the same size as the Princeton Size 10. Again, not a problem for me, just good to know.I highly recommend these brushes, and will probably get a second set for spares! Thanks, Golden Maple!

Nice travel set and keeps a point!
Took 2 days to get here. Packages in a plastic bag and the brushes were each individually wrapped in plastic as well. After getting the residue off the bristles they still kept a sharp point! So far I’ve used the 4 round and it was a pleasure to paint with! They are long once screwed together but are a nice set to take on the road for urban sketching and plein air along with an A6 scretchbook. Fits so nicely in my travel bag which is a little bigger than my hand. Beautiful set! Wish they made a set with a dagger or filbert, I’d buy it in a heartbeat!

Fantastic travel brushes
I rarely run across products that far exceed my expectations, but this travel brush set is one of them. The brushes are the perfect range of sizes for small sketches and detail work, up to larger paintings. They are also very high quality, with a nice point at the end of each brush. The handles screw on and off, so you don't have to worry about them wobbling when you're painting or getting stuck when you're trying to put them away. Even the pouch is of nice quality. I am so pleased and excited to have such a nice set of pocket brushes for my upcoming travels and local plein air painting outings!

Watercolor Round Brush Review
Easy to use, easy to carry.I like these brushes a lot, and for the cost, they’re not bad. So far they’ve held up really well. I paint with them every day for 15 minutes or longer. They travel really well, and the hole in the end of the tube allows the bristles to dry. They are really springy. I wouldn’t recommend these to someone looking to replace a natural fiber brush. That being said, they handle really well for urban sketching. The leather case is also really nice. The photos include the leather case next to my small sketchbook and watercolor box, for size comparison.

Good for the money.
These are surprisingly nice given the price. They have nice points, hold enough water, and are soft enough for watercolor. I like that the handles are enough larger than the brushes that there is less danger of catching and bending hairs when you close them. However the brush heads themselves are smaller than the sizes would indicate. Rather than a 12, 8, 4 these are really a 10, 6, 2. It would be nice if they offered a true 12 and 8 as well.

Nice set of paintbrushes
The paint brushes fold so they are quite small and the little case is perfect. You can tuck them in anywhere when you’re traveling. (Just make sure you remember where you put them!). The brushes are good quality.

Great value for the money, and perfect for "travel".
I got these brushes for travel, but I have been using them at home almost exclusively since I got them. I'm very happy with the quality especially for the price. If you have used golden taclon brushes or something similar for watercolor, than you will know what to expect from these. They have a nice sharp point and hold a decent amount of water. They are not a replacement for a thirsty squirrel brush, but they are not meant to be.If you are looking for something to throw in your travel bag that takes up less space than a regular sized brush, and you don't want to worry about the bristles being destroyed... These are fantastic. There were a few hairs that stuck out on one of the brushes when I got them, but I just trimmed them off. Not sure if that is how you are supposed to handle that or not but it worked for me. If they were more expensive, or from a big name maker I would have been upset about the stray hairs, but as these were under $20... I'm quite happy. There is one brush that when assembled in just the right way has a bit of wiggle to it. All I have to do is twist the cap on the handle a bit and it becomes perfectly stable. Again, not bothersome enough to complain and the only reason I'm mentioning it is because I have seen some reviews where people have had trouble with this.I included a photo to show these brushes (silver handle) next to the Princeton Neptune brushes (copper handle) I purchased at the same time. The picture with the dots on it has been done with the Golden Maple brushes only, and the other 2 have been a combination of both brushes.
