I bought this to mount my GoPro on the front of my surfboard in Portrait (vertical) format, rather than Landscape (horizontal) format so I could review my surfing technique.The mount itself is very sturdy and has taken repeated batterings from wipe outs over the past year, although I found I needed to use pliers to tighten the screw to stop the camera being pushed out of position by waves.My only issue with it is that where the mount has three "prongs" that the two tabs of the GoPro waterproof mount slot into, the central prong is a fraction too narrow, leaving a small gap (less than a millimeter) between it and the plastic.This creates a weak point as there's a little bit of movement which eventually results in the plastic tabs on the Waterproof Housing snapping off.I've bought a new Waterproof Housing and this time I'm going to try to find a piece of thin metal to shim between the plastic of the Housing and the metal of the mount.If that central prong was made just a little wider, it would, I think, resolve this issue.Apart from this, the mount has lasted for over a year with many surfing sessions and has been excellent.
