Easy to setup, may need wifi booster to work properly
easy to use and super easy to setup with wps on router, easy to install using app in fact the easiest i have ever set up. work perfectly, only 1 small problem I needed to buy a seperate wifi booster for my hallway as the range on them is limited, but having the wifi booster sorted them out no problem.Good value for money

Works well, very pleased with notifications
1. Sensor comes with x2 AAA batteries & sticky back tape.2. Gives a continuous alarm on your phone when sensor is activated with a door/window opening. Also sends a notification message saying door/window open onto your phones screen. (see photo)The continuous alarm on the phone is extremely useful as it's impossible to ignore, (it can be turned off if wanted). Please note there is no alarm on the sensor itself. When door/window is then closed, it again sends a notification to your phone but no alarm. There is a time and date on the notification section of the app.3. Very easy to use and setup. works via wifi and you get your notifications wherever you are as long as you have an internet connection on your phone.4. I have attached the sensor to floor of my garage with a strong sticky tape and velcro, doing the same with the small sensor being attached to the garage door. (see photo). As the door is a roller door this was the easiest way but I guess one could screw a small piece of wood to the door and another to the frame and attach the sensors that way if you didn't want one on the floor. They are very light so they stay in position easily.5. App gives battery level.6. The app is very good and gives a log of the opening and closing times.I have included photos to give an idea of the app.7. Integrates with Alexa via Skills section by giving spoken announcements when door is opened & closed. Can also check if door is open/closed by asking Alexa.SUMMARYSo far at time of writing only used it for a couple weeks, very happy as all I wanted was a reliable system letting me know wherever I am when my garage door is opened and closed as other family members use the garage and can leave the door open by mistake!I've ordered 3 more, 2 for my other doors and 1 for my neighbour ;)———————————UPDATE 10.10.2022First one I purchased was very good with strong reception between sensor & router but the other 2 I bought after require to be very close to the router which restricts their use.Shame because the first one was very good.

Surprisingly easy to install
COMPLETE NOVICEThis is the FIRST 'smart' device I have installed, so I had very little idea what I was doing. I could already open and close my garage door with a single button key-fob but I can't see my garage from my house and I wanted a way of knowing if the garage door was open or closed without having to go out in the rain.INSTALLATIONThe physical installation of the detector is easy. You simply stick the two halves in place. The instructions for the wi-fi installation were not very clear TO ME so I installed the 'Smart Life' App on my iPhone and I kept on pressing 're-set' until I got a response. The App couldn't find the detector with my router in normal mode (2.4gHz & 5gHz) but it found the detector as soon as I temporarily changed my router to 2.4gHz ONLY. And that is it! Installation complete. It works.I was relieved to find that when the router was switched back to normal operation (2.4gHz & 5gHz) the detector and App kept on working properly. It is only for the initial set-up that you need to switch to 2.4gHz ONLY. I have no idea why.IN USEBy default, the 'Smart Life' App sounds an alarm for about ten seconds after I press the button to open my garage door or indeed if anyone opens it manually. The default alarm is not particularly loud or intrusive but you can hear it easily enough if you are in the same room as the iPhone. When I press the button to close my garage door, I get a distinctly different 'bleepitybleep' after 25 seconds and a screen notification telling me that the door is closed. Because it works by the simple presence or otherwise of a magnet, I don't think there is any way that it can get 'out of sync.'The App keeps a log of all the times of day that the door is opened and closed. I suppose that could be useful to know if someone has entered the garage and at what time.RECOMMENDATIONAt only £10.90 it seems a bargain. I could install another one in less than 10 minutes. Only four stars because the instructions could be better and I would much prefer bigger batteries. I can't imagine the 2x AAAs will last very long.UPDATE: 21 months later, it is still working 100% reliably on the original batteries used twice per day.I have now installed a smart switch to open and close the garage door just by voice instructions to Alexa. It was slightly more complicated but not too daunting for a determined novice (me).I also taught Alexa to use the Tuya detector to tell me verbally when the garage door is open and again when it is closed. For continuous status confirmation I have instructed Alexa to turn on a RED night-light attached to an Echo-Flex whenever the garage door is open. That light only goes off when the garage door is closed. I am now left in no doubt about whether the door is open or closed. Brilliant! There is a learning curve when 'programing' Alexa but it was fairly easy to do with basis DIY skills, a bit of patience and common sense.

Wireless Door Alarm
Absolutely rubbish! Does not connect properly. Spent hours trying to get this useless wireless door sensor to work. It’s waste of money and time.
