Great Product and A Neck Saver!
In the past I had two surgeries on my neck so I think my neck is particularly prone to the neck pain that comes with using electronic devices. I use my iPad and laptop mostly while sitting in a recliner with a small dog on my lap. I needed something that could hold either device. I researched A LOT of these kind of gadgets on Amazon and finally chose this one. I was hesitant to buy anything because I am close to being the stupidest person on earth when it comes to putting things together. I assembled this thing in about an hour and 10 minutes. If you have any kind of mechanical ability it would probably take half that time. I can adjust the height of the arm, swivel the tray over my recliner, and adjust the tilt. The tray is presently holding my iPad as I type this. I think I will have to adjust the height of the arm depending on whether I’m using the iPad or my laptop. But that’s no big deal. You adjust the height with the supplied Allen wrench. There’s even a place to store the Allen wrenches. I can swivel the tray out of my way when I want to get up. It so happens I have this in my living room — no, it’s not the most attractive thing — but if I have company I think I can just unclamp it from the side table and store it in another room. I am greatly looking forward to not having the neck pain and headaches I get from straining my neck over my electronic devices. I am very happy with this purchase so far.

Pretty Decent As A Laptop Holder
I have a heavy gaming laptop so maybe if you have a lighter laptop you might feel this is just perfect. For me the thing is at my particular install the laptop is not level. It is slightly tilted. I have an OCD issue so this dos bother me. Most people probably would never notice the slight tilt. Also this is not designed to be adjusted easily. What I mean is it is made to be locked into place. If you want something that say when you want to get up you just move your laptop aside this is not meant to do that. All joints have allen bolts and are meant to be tightened. This makes the stand much stronger I am guessing but it is less convenient. What I do is just leave all the joints slightly loose and that way I can move it when I get up. The vertical bar is sturdy and comes with a few ways to mount it. The jaw opens wide and it made pretty well. There is a small c clip that holds the bottom clamp part in place and that popped off the first time I tightened the clamp. It's not a big deal as it doesn't affect function but it is something that should be mentioned. Overall it is strong enough and works well enough especially for the cost. Where this product excels is the size of the clamp. It is larger and more sturdy than most I have seem . If they can figure out the c shaped retaining clip on the clamp and make that better it would be real hard to beat.

Great value and exactly what I needed
I have a very small home office and a small antique desk. I really needed a way to add space to my desk, and I happened to find this laptop stand. It has effectively added over a foot worth of desk space. I love the fact that I can move it around as needed. Sometimes I use it for my laptop; other times I use it for papers or my planner. I can even use it as a standing desk, if I want. The only complaint I have about it is the assembly. It is mostly pretty easy to assemble, but attaching the laptop tray to the stand arm is a little tricky. It was the one part of assembly that I asked my husband for help with, lol. A small wrench would've been really useful. (Considering the various Allen wrenches and one larger wrench that the package came with, I'm a little surprised the package didn't include such a wrench.)I've attached two photos of the stand in action. In one, you'll see my planner lying on top of the stand swung away from my desk. In the other, you'll see the stand folded in so it's hovering over my desk and with the laptop on top. You can see how much added space I have thanks to this stand!

Can't go wrong!
Nice and heavy duty, well constructed arm for next to my bed. My purpose for this is to use in bed with my nook, cell phone, and tablet. My 15 inch laptop is a tad bit too big to use in its current set up but, you could fix that. I put the notebook holder with the edges on the front side, instead of just having the lip on the front side....it'll make sense when you see the product in person. I preferred the crimped edges because I knew I wouldn't inadvertently knock my Nook or s7 on the floor if I fell asleep with the arm across my bed, decreasing my stress about having a cracked screen or anything else like that.Cord management is pretty good, and I really have no complaints whatsoever on quality. And, in a pinch, if you had to you could bludgeon someone to death with this thing. Seriously, it's not going to fall apart!Only complaint are the screws that hold the notebook holder to the bracket...they are phillips head screws tightened up with nuts but, the wrench that comes with doesn't work with these nuts. I'd suggest some other mounting hardware, just don't know what. I really don't think it's going to come lose but it's just my one nit picky complaint.Enjoy!!!

Mount is good, laptop tray is cumbersome.
The mount is pretty good - metal construction, stays on the desk, arm is maneuverable. The laptop tray is big and clumsy. Maybe a good size if you have a 15-17" laptop, but not for anything smaller. It fits loose on the vesa mount, so your laptop wobbles and never sits level. Things were much better after I replaced the tray, but also made this not worth the price. My recommendation: buy only the mount for a fraction of the cost, and find a vesa-mountable laptop tray separately that will fit your laptop. You'll get more value, and have a much better experience.
