Wonderful Knife!
This knife is amazing! It cuts so nice and is a little pricey but not like most "fake" Japanese style knives on the market today. Bought this for my husband and this is the only knife he uses when he's cooking! You should really keep up with care for this knife to extend it's life. Very easy to clean, a little heavy in the handle which is a nice feeling but definitely keep away from those prone to having issues with sharp objects.

Best of everything…ZELITE really have created the best Chef Knife on the Market
When I read all of the marketing material Zelite Infinity has been putting out lately I have to admit I was one of your more usual skeptical customers. However, as I love my cooking I had to get over this and give the product a try.The company claims that it is razor sharp and has outstanding edge retention. Sharpness, 100% it is very sharp indeed. I can’t really comment on the edge retention as I have not owned it long enough, but as it’s made from Japanese VG10 at the core of the blade I have no worries here at all.Stain and rust resistance – the outside of the blade has 33-layers per side of SUS410 high carbon stainless steel meaning the blade will be stain and rust resistant, but I have to be honest here that again - I have not owned the knife long enough to confirm this. So far the knife still looks brand new after using it several times per day is about the best I can offer right now.Non-stick – I have to say this is quite clever. Because the blade is ground from the spine to the blade edge it gradually exposes the patterns in the blade giving it the Damascus pattern. In exposing these multi layers it gives slight imperfections in the surface, which is supposed to give it the non-stick effect – it actually works. The knife just slices through food as if it were butter leaving no food on the blade.Balance and Control – it has a full-tang so its already set up to be very well balanced and solid and I confirm this is the case. The handle is nicely shaped and fits my hand perfectly. The shaped bolster is perfect for gripping the blade using the pinch style.Looks and appearance – this is what really sets this knife apart from the competition. Everything about it oozes class and beauty. From the mirror-patterned blade to the beautiful Japanese mosaic rivet on the handle, the knife is very nice. Even the packaged box it comes in just looks and feels quality.Overall, a whopping 5-stars! This is perfect for any professional chef or and home chef that is serious about their cooking and want the best the market has to offer.I hope my review has been helpful.

Impulse Purchase of a Fantastic Chef Knife from a Novice Chef
The media could not be loaded. The other reviews here appear to be from seasoned home chefs or professionals. This review is for the home chefs out there who aspire to have better equipment and something awesome! I want you to read and see feedback from a guy who is just learning how to cook in the past year.So picture this. It's late at night, I am fed up with my old knife set while trying to prepare some pork loin I had just served 2 hours prior. Go shopping on Amazon and then *CLICK*, That is how I found this Zelite Infinity 8" Chef Knife pictured here. Now granted, I am no chef but I do know my way around sharp things at work. For example, I know there is a huge quality difference between stamped and forged cutlery, hence this purchase. The first thing I noted when the box arrived was how big it was. It comes in a very nice glossy box that has a magnetic snap (I'm a sucker for nice packaging!) and holds the chef knife securely in place. The first thing you notice is that the chef knife feels very good to hold in one's hand and feels well balanced. The edge is razor sharp right out of the box (Protip: don't test it with your thumb!) and ready for action.Immediately I put it to work, first slicing some strawberries effortlessly. I then tested it on some frozen bison burgers I found left over in the fridge for > 2 years (not mine, blame the wife!) and it made short work of those. I have since prepared some nice ribeye steaks and sausage jambalaya with it. I noted someone else has already left some photos in their review. I was impressed enough that I have added a short video to the review for you all to see the knife in action yourself. Compared to my previous "Big-Box Store" chef knife, there is no contest. Watch the video and make your own judgement!Following up on the product claims, it really does look like a classy knife and my neighbor down the street (who *is* a real chef at a local upscale restaurant chain) gave a thumbs up to my purchase when she saw it. It's rust-resistant and can verify that it is indeed non-stick, which was a sticking point with my previous chef knife and a nice perk when slicing sausage.I have only used two other *real* chef knives previously over the past year, a Cutco chef knife and a Victorinox knife. I like this one the best thus far and will likely pick one up for my friend as a Christmas gift this year.Overall, I give this product 5 stars and I am sure you'll get your money's worth out of this one. I am happy with my purchase and I am confident this will serve my family and I well over many many meals. :)I hope you find this review entertaining and informative.

It's an OK knife
I take care of my knives even though they are not the expensive ones. I only cut on a wooden cutting board. This knife came sharp, however, after the third use, it wouldn't penetrate tomato skin. It was also much harder to chop onions. After reading the reviews and how long it keeps its sharpness, I decided to purchase it but now regret it. Don't get me wrong. The knife is good for the price, but I expected a much better sharpness retention from it based on the reviews.
