I use this for removing tree stumps. It takes a year or two, but my stumps have been growing for decades. Drill some 1 inch holes in the stump (the more the merrier!) and introduce this powder into the holes. Refill when you notice the holes are empty again.The potassium nitrate rots them out from the inside. The stump will look normal for quite a while and then collapse in on itself. I use a 4 pound bag, sometimes two bags over the course of a year. You will notice the stump starting to look cracked and broken on the outside. The stump eventually becomes hollow and barren inside, like the rest of us. Good luck!
