Q: what is the difference between the blueapple with carbon ($13.99) and the other one that doesn't say "with carbon" ($11.99)?

The classic has activated charcoal inside. I'm not exactly sure what the difference in performance would be, I know charcoal has been used successfully for a long time. I use the new one with carbon, and I've been really happy with them. I guess you could try the classic first, then you could buy a package of the carbon packets when it's time to replace them. :-)

Q: How many times you can reuse this? How to tell it is time to change the refill?

I just follow the instructions and replace the inside packet every 3 months and could not be happier with them. When I failed to replace them, I soon realized what a good job they'd been doing; my lettuce suddenly got limp more quickly!

Q: I feel really dumb, but i can't get the apples open. i have twisted and squeezed one end . i would love some instructions someone? thanks sandy vos

You place the Bluapple on a hard surface with the seam touching the hard surface and press down. It will pop open. The instructions to open a Bluapple are on the back of the refill package.

Q: Do the packets that come with the refil bag last longer then a year? I only have one apple to refill.

If you are only using one Bluapple, the Refill Kit will last you two years. The Refill Kit comes with 8 packets, with each packet lasting up to 3 months, which supports two Bluapples for a year or one Bluapple for two years.
