TotalMount – Apple TV Mount – Compatible with all Apple TVs

In the garage I have a TV on a wall mount and AppleTV as the sole source for content. I wanted to mount the AppleTV on the back of the TV for the minimalist option. I found the TotalMount when searching Amazon and it looked like it would fit the bill. I was concerned about which generation of AppleTV would fit as many of the mounts you will find on Amazon only work for the older mount. What was not obviously, but welcome surprise, is the TotalMount is completely compatible with both generations as it includes an “insert” that adapts the smaller newest generation to the mount.Good:1. Mount works with all generations of AppleTV 4K.2. Mount includes a large piece of high quality double sided tape already cut to fit and installed. Pro tip: use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm up both the tape and surface for the best possible adhesion.3. Extremely easy and fast installation, no instructions required.Bad:1. One of the more expensive AppleTV mounting options, but I think the quality, construction, and compatibility justify the price.2. The mount does not hold the AppleTV in all directions. Basically only one supported orientation which is vertical wall mount with cords either pointing up or down. Mounting the AppleTV horizontally on the ceiling or even horizontally on a vertical wall will not work. You could experiment with taping the AppleTV into the unit to hold it in these other orientations.

This is truly awesome. They provide 3 different sets of hooks plus screws and two sided tape. If you can’t find a way to mount it to a tv or other surface, I’d be amazed. Definitely will buy again.

The product performs exactly as described. Very easy to install.

This universal holder is a mixed bag, especially for perfectionists. Here's a breakdown:* Older Apple TV: The holder is too deep for older Apple TV models, resulting in a loose fit.* Current Apple TV: Works better with the current Apple TV, especially when using the included adapter.* Adhesive: The included 3M double-sided tape is high quality and strong enough to hold the lightweight Apple TV. Remember to clean the surface with alcohol before applying.* Mounting: Two screws are included for mounting the holder directly to drywall behind the TV.* Vent Mount: The vent mount attachments are not compatible with newer, thin OLED TVs (like Samsung models) that have vents near the top.Overall: This holder might work if you have the current Apple TV and are comfortable using the adhesive or screwing it into the wall. However, it's not ideal for older Apple TV models, and the vent mounting option is limited. Consider your specific TV and Apple TV model before purchasing.

Love how easy this was to install. The fit was perfect. My set up looks great with my Apple TV now hidden. No more ugly wires showing.

This is a very well designed kit with a variety of included methods for mounting the ATV. I used two in my RV, one mounted on the back of one of the TV’s and the other mounted partially hidden on the wall next to the other TV. I used the included 3M sticky for both and neither one is going anywhere. All my cables are neatly tucked away and the AT remote works every time.
