great cookbook with healty recipes for favorite comfort foods
I have had this for years and then lost in a housefire. i bought it again used. It is a great cookbook with lots of comfort food recipes that are healthier versions but still taste good. Most healthy versions of recipes tend to taste like cardboard, but every recipe i have tried in this book tastes normal.

NOW, WE'RE BOTH SATISFIED & FULL!!
I just received my copy and have been thumbing through it. There is hardly a recipe I will not make. I am 78 and have been cooking for over 60 years so I feel justified in writing a review before I have cooked anything. I can read a recipe! And these are fantastic! But the best part is that now my meat-and-potatoes husband will be satisfied satisfied as will I with My vegetable what vegetable loving preferences preferences.. With hundreds of cookbooks on my shelves this one is going straight to the small shelf next to the stove! Zillion & zillions of great meals are ahead of us!!P.S. I really enjoy the blurbs from featured home cooks ... AND the beautifully detailed nutritional info!!

Recipes are Delicious, Simple, and Filling
I've had this cookbook for one month now and have successfully dropped 10 pounds. Although that number might seem small, anyone who has tried sustainable realistic dieting should recognize that 2 pounds a week is hard for a foodie like me. The recipes in this book have helped tremendously. They are all simple (five-seven ingredients), quickly prepared (around half an hour prep and cook time), and my personal favorite, delicious. The comfort food diet helps me feel like I'm not depriving myself of good food for the sake of appearance. The recipes I've made so far are things I'm happy to serve my family. I would recommend calculating your own nutritional data based on what you include as I find their estimates are usually a little off (higher than my calculations). Every single recipe I've made so far has been delectable and filling. I would recommend this book to anyone who doesn't want to give up good food to diet.

GREAT IDEA STARTERS!
I would have given this book five stars if they had listed the amount of sugar carbs in each recipe as well as all of the other macronutrient information.Some of the recipes needed tweaking to fit our macros and clean (non-processed foods) eating. Very beautiful book and I do love that recipes didn't rely heavily on expensive ingredients for the most part.I would definitely consider buying the next incarnation of this book IF the sugar macros were included in the nutritional info at the end of each recipe.

Great best one so far.
This is my favorite so far of all the comfort diet taste of home cookbooks i own yet and I own several. It has numerous pictures and actual edible recipes that are not just full of fake sugars and other unhealthy ingredients. The recipes actually taste good and the front of the book has a lot of tips and 4 weeks of planned out meals. I order a second one for a gift. This book has nutritional information and several photos of the foods. I would highly recommend this book.

My favorite cookbook!
This is my favorite Taste of Home cookbook because the recipes are so easy and delicious. The nutrition information is important to me because I've always been particular about what I eat. I especially enjoy the bonus slow cooker chapter. I love to cook and refer to this cookbook often. Highly recommend.
