I think this is a great set, especially for the money. I have seen similar sets with the cute caddy for way more, and the spouts are very unique and seem to work great. I had purchased and OXO olive oil spout and was frustrated that it drizzled very little at a time, and the hard plastic nozzle did not stay in bottles very well. . This spout definitely pours nicely ( I intend to use when cooking to pour some oil in the pan before cooking or add to a pot, but I think would not pour too much over a salad either if you wanted to use for that) Yes, the tops are plastic, they snap shut nicely. (I was looking for something that had an air tight closure, and this is good for that) Hopefully the plastic will hold up, it may not being all plastic. The black plastic part of the nozzle that goes into the bottle is rubbery and flexible, not hard plastic like I've seen others. I think this is good (you could use it for other bottles even if slightly smaller (these bottle mouths are smaller than a wine bottle opening).Okay so the not so great feature is that the salt and pepper container come, as shown, with a metal cap. This cap has no holes in it, which makes it air tight (kinda good). You take this metal cap off and underneath are clear rubbery caps with holes in it (they have the grippy things that the black oil caps have, but sort of in reverse, and are cloudy- clear. The holes in one shaker are pretty small (normal for a small salt shaker, but this is a large one (nice size to have by the stove, to add to the pot when cooking), and the holes in the other (pepper?) are very large - more like you'd see for parmesan cheese shaker (might be good for that). So I will have to shake pepper out into my hand carefully then add to my dish/pot. Very strange. Still gave it a five for the great price (under $20.) and other great features. I'm keeping it. FYI the box it came in showed the same item, but the shaker lids were different- there were holes in the metal lid - one the holes formed the shape of an S, one in the shape of a P. Maybe they changed things up and you'll get that one? I wish I did. Don't care enough to send it back and try again.

I just received it today, ordered it on the 15th of April thanks to Prime two day delivery.Everything arrived in one piece, no broken pieces! This is a beautiful addition to my kitchen, very simple and elegant, I can't wait for my red vinegar to arrive so I can place it in after washing it. I will give an update on how it pours and on how the salt and pepper shaker works after a few weeks of use.

Love the oil/vinegar dispensers, but the salt/ pepper shakers have a flaw:They aren’t sealed well, so when replacing them to the rack, there is always fallout that drops through the lid.

This set looks nice however the salt & pepper shaker is useless. The lids do not seal and EVERY time you use them the salt and pepper will come out the sides. You will either get too much seasoning on your food or make a mess.

Just what I needed on my counter. I have oil in one and balsamic vinegar in the other. Instead of salt, I have cinnamon. I love adding a few dribbles of balsamic to my Laughing Cow cheese and this never lets me down. No drips from either bottle. Attractive on my counter. Thinking of putting turmeric in the pepper shaker.. So everything's handy that I use daily. :) Highly recommend.

I bought a set like this 5 years ago, which I just love. This new set, even though it looks the same, it's inferior in quality. The lids of the salt and pepper shakers are very flimsy and the salt leaks after it is used. The salt collects in the gasket of the lid and then just pours out. I wish I had returned it, but now it is too late.

This is a nice set! I got it mostly just for the bottles, but it was a nice extra for the salt and pepper. We aren't using the holder, because we keep them stored separate, but it is really nice and fits everything well.The bottles were a little smaller than what I was envisioning. My husband who uses it said it is perfect size.
