Cheap and easy to test often. Buy a good count-the-drops test kit to find the best shade of yellow.
My success to a great hot tub; keep the water chemicals balanced and NEVER let your free chlorine get too low! This cheap test makes it easy and economical to stay on top of the chlorine levels.You likely have a Poolmaster test kit if you need this replacement, but the yellow color gauge can be a bit too light. Some STRONG ADVICE, buy one of the professional test kits with a count-the-drops (FAS-DPD) chlorine test, like Taylor K-2006. Add chlorine to the spa/pool and drop-test until you meet the 5 ppm (recommended upper limit) of free-chlorine. Then immediately test again with your cheap some-shade-of-yellow OTO test. <b>You will then know exactly how yellow your regular testing should be</b> without having to use the expensive test. I do recommend that you perform the expensive drop test occasionally to recalibrate your target shade of yellow.

It works
My only gripe about the product is you have to buy this and the yellow separately for the 1 ounce size. The replacement kit of the two only come in .5 ounce bottles.
