Package was delivered today and I couldn't wait to put it together. The assembly was easy peasey! No tools required and the directions were simple to follow. I tucked the bar under the sofa and my elderly mother loves it. She's so happy to have some assistance when getting up from the sofa. The unit is adjustable and I was able to select just the right width and height for the unit itself and the handles. I definitely recommend this for a anyone who needs a boost getting up from a seated position.

Absolutely fantastic!! A strong metal tube frame goes under the cushions and stable arms reach above the cushions. I weigh about 275 and the system as I have it set still has extra room. Comfortable handgrips help. This system gives me the ability to use the sofa.

Not quite as heavy duty as expected, but easy to put together & very handy to use.

Loved it until one handlebar broke.My husband was pretty good at breaking things. To clarify, he'd sometimes put a lot of pressure on things that I wouldn't have put so much pressure on. Sometimes it was hard to know if they broke because he was just a big guy and his first reaction if something seemed stuck was to push harder, vs. just backing off and trying to figure out what is causing the problem -- which would be my first reaction to a stuck thing. So we had a a broken dishwasher handle, a broken chair handle, broken recliner leg rests, and then this thing. Maybe some of those items weren't made very well, but I never had so many things break when I was single. So, I think the breakage could have been partly his fault.BUT ... this thing is designed to help people with mobility issues.It really shouldn't have broken, even with Mr. Clumsy using it.That's why I'm only giving it 3 stars.We had gotten good use out of it for maybe 4 months, though, before it broke. So I didn't try to contact the manufacturer or anything. And during those 4 months or so, Mr. Clumsy loved it! It did make it much easier for him to get up from the couch.

Sturdy, strong and easily assembled. This permits my wife to sit in her favorite chair after her surgery and she is able to stand up getting out of the chair seemingly easily. Before this purchase she was wheel chair bound and uncomfortable. No longer!

Sturdy! Really helps in getting up from the sofa.

This product works okay. The couch pillow is too narrow but serves the purpose.
