Nice sturdy clean guard
I ordered a sample pack of this style and another one, since I didn't know which size I needed. I also wanted to check the size and number of holes. I live in Michigan where the snow melts, but when it hits the gutter guards, depending on the style you have it refreezes and then makes the gutters useless. These seem to have a good size hole without being able to let in pine needles or whirly birds, and don't look like they would freeze shut as easy as the other styles, and they are very sturdy and appear very easy to install even for a DIYer. I also like the black color, it should blend better and hopefully will draw a little heat to help with the snow and ice.

Looks great and easy to install.
This product is high quality And easy to install yourself. Even an amateur can do it. They enclosed the very helpful magnetic chuck for convenience that I wasn’t expecting.

Do it once and never again!
I gave these great gutter guards four stars because not everyone will be able to install them on their own. While easy for the mechanically inclined, working on a ladder is not for everyone. So four stars for that reason. Otherwise, this is definitely a five star product! I had four runs to do. Two boxes of eight pieces created the least amount of waste and, in round numbers, 25 dollars less than the 100 foot quantity. So measure twice, buy once. Then, measure twice and cut once.I purchased the black anodized ones to melt snow in the winter. In my research, it was suggested that for single story applications like mine that one buy a cheap street broom and mount the handle through the bristles. This way, if needed, you have a way to clean the snow off the gutter covers. This is so ice does not form. However, being black, I think that should not really be a problem. Nonetheless, I have seen things go crazy in the Northeast winters. Things you think you do not need to plan for can happen and then you may have a real job on your hands to correct. So, better to plan for something and not need what you buy than not to plan for it and need it like this reverse broom idea. After I did the first two of four runs, we got a real soaker rain storm. It came down so hard I heard the rain fall on the roof over my air conditioner fan noise. When I looked out my front door, there was no run over from the gutter covers. Whe I opened the front door, there was a strong water flow sound and zero dripping, and no overflow. The next day, I finished the remaining two runs and we got more rain in copious amounts! It rained so hard, the rain looked like fog! The gutter covers processed even that much rain! No heavy dripping and no overruns.I expected to see water flowing over the edge, overrun, but nothing! That sold me 100 percent on this product. I am already recommending it to others that may benefit from this product. Even if you have a two-story house. Do this once and never climb up that high on a ladder again for many years to come.I have also included a phone photo that shows how a gutter cover run should look when finished. As per the instructions, three screws along the front gutter cover lip and two in the back through the fascia board. Then keep adding 4 foot pieces until you reach the end of the gutter. If you have a short empty space, or any length to cover, you then cut a 4 foot piece to fit. The remaining gutter guard length, after being cut, will serve for other short spaces that will need to be covered to complete any total covering of a gutter run. See my photo of 8 feet of covered gutter to see how it should look when complete.

In My Estimation, This is an Excellent Product
I only qualify this with “in my estimation” because since installing these LeafTek gutter guards, they have not yet had the chance to perform their function. Though from my inspection of the product I have no reason to believe they will not when the time comes. They are very sturdy and seem to be produced to acceptable tolerances, consistent among themselves such that they came together quite easily when installing them. One thing I would deduct a couple of points for is that I was not provided with enough screws to follow the 5 screws/panel rubric as set forth in the instructions. I was only 2 short, but of course didn’t notice until I was nearing the installation of the last panel. I had 3 screws for the last panel so I was going to install what I had and just hope that was adequate. As I was installing the first screw into my final panel, a gust of wind blew the little baggie with the other 2 screws in it down and out into the alley behind my house. For as much as 3 might have been adequate, 1 was clearly not going to be. I climbed down off of my roof and went in search of the little baggie in my alley and was fortunate enough to find it. I climbed back up on my roof and finished installing the last panel. It has always been a puzzlement to me why companies that sell products that require some double or triple digit numbers of fasteners in order to assemble whatever the product is, don’t just as a standard practice throw in a single extra just for good measure. There have been times where I’ve dropped a screw down into a place where it couldn’t be retrieved, and it has happened with both scenarios, where I was supplied an extra, and when I wasn’t, and it made a world of difference in terms of the ease in which I completed them both.I gave this product 5 stars all the way, because I really do believe it is a quality product, and I was surprised at how well it fit onto my gutters and how easy it was to install. I’m just hoping the last of the panels truly is secure enough with only three screws.

Great product - take your time installing
I have had these installed for a year now. They work excellently in fall for leaves and maple helicopters in the spring are no problem. I have noted that spring oak tassels and ash seeds do sometimes get caught. No problems with ice in the winter (I got black in the hopes of melting quicker with the sun).If you do not have a ladder with feet and it's too dangerous to work from the roof you can bend slightly to get them installed. Corners on my house took a little bit because the gutters weren't as wide as in the straight runs. Don't be in a hurry and install will go fine. Set of snips, measuring tape, speed square, marker are a few extra items that you will probably find useful. They save me 16+ hours each year of gutter cleaning at heights. Very happy with them.
