Bagh-e-Bahar a Mughal Garden: A Colouring Book for Adults Hardcover – April 1, 2016

It is such a beautiful coloring book. Every page is amazing. There are qoutes from Rumi on many pages. This add to its charm. I love this coloring book. It is like painting a story!

I bought this at Good Earth on a recent trip to India and it is beautiful and so much fun to color. The paper is heavy enough that my water-based markers don't bleed through at all, and there is a nice variety of designs, some very intricate. Highly recommend this although Amazon's price is a bit steep. Attaching some of my already-colored pages as a sample.

The adult colouring book craze has been going strong for quite a while. When I heard Good Earth was coming out with their own, I was pretty damn excited. They're known for an impeccable sense of design with very Indian roots.This book definitely lives up to the Good Earth name! Please note, however that this page wrongly lists it as 'hardcover' - the cover is made from semi stiff card paper, so while it isn't softcover per se, it definitely isn't hard. I had done my research on this book so knew what I was getting, & hence avoided disappointment.Bagh e Bahar is based on Mughal Gardens & contains page after page of beautiful drawings, whether it's exterior shots of palace & gardens, to details on flowers, to simpler geometric patterns. Some parts of few pages have a pre coloured section, which I think adds to the look. It's also peppered throughout with quotes by Rumi. The papers seem to be medium thickness & there are designs on both sides. I use colour pencils, & they work perfectly but I suspect the book might not be very marker friendly.Overall I'm pleased with this book, I find it quite nice to have, the designs are original & lovely & it'll keep me occupied for hours.I use this with the  Cretacolor Artists Studio Line Watercolor Pencil Set of 24  - I've reviewed that as well on the product page. the same motifs and patterns are just repeated in various combinations for the different pictures. also the patterns are not really designed for being coloured by hand, theyre too repetitive and intricate so they seem to have been thoughtlessly picked from some random sources.

If you are a fan of coluring and need a good hobby then this is the book for you. Though there are a number of adult colouring books available at a cheaper price but its mughal art is what makes it different. Its completely based on mughal architecture deisgns and mughal gardens. Though a bit on the expensive side but worth the money.

Nice coloring book with mughal designs. Beat for adults and good for giving gifts to your beloved once.
