I moved into my 92-year-old mother's home three years ago to care for her. Her countertops in the kitchen are probably, after some renovation, about 20 years old (the complex was built in 1978). Unfortunately, the white vinyl tops of the counters stain very easily. Everything stains them and it takes bleach diluted with water to completely clean them. That's risky: too much bleach in a particular spot will turn it yellow. When the mats arrived I spread them out on the counter. Nothing stains these mats! They are heavy-duty, feel and look impressive, and clean up the most stubborn stains with the swipe of a wash cloth (tea, coffee, wine, golden seal, and tamarack--to date). I am so happy I ordered these. I only wish that they came in patterns like autumn leaves, ocean beaches, etc. That would be perfection!

Overall, these are nice, but ... there are groves in the placemats that make them difficult to keep clean (requires a toothbrush like cleaning tool) and the care instructions warn against 'directly' rinsing these using water (?) to avoid shape damage. If they are this fragile, you better hope nothing is ever spilled on them! Also, was a darker color than hoped for.

This product is very easy to clean and keep up with having two toddlers. It looks great on my kitchen table. I’m not a big fan of plastic place mats but this product is great for the money

I dont love these even though they are exactly what's advertised. that's on me. these placemats are great for my messy 2 5 year old and husband who is equally as messy ;) very easy to clean and wipe off and seem to be durable so they should hold up for a while.

Only 2 stars because they package in a box to big so the mats move around and bend. Kinda useless to me if I cant put out ou n my table because they are tweaked.Color is good and material seems durable.

They bent these to ship and after trying to lay books on them to flatten them out they will not stay flat and look really bad so I'm sending them back

Biggest problem is that they somehow absorb stains and don't appear to be something that lasts long in pristine condition. The back side has cleaner edges, but is a different color than the front. White isn't exactly white - more light beige.
