These stay on!!!
I bought these for my doggos when they go outside in the yard. I hate cleaning their paws. This is the best alternative!! I would not recommend them for long walks as the fabric will wear. However, just for use to go potty in the back yard works great!!! I have washed them every week and they velcro has not worn out. I highly recommend these boots for all dogs owners. They slide on very easy. They also stay on very well!!!

Nice fit, but NOT waterproof
Bought these boots specifically to do two 7 mile hikes on groomed cross-country ski trails with my dog. First thing to note, the fit ran a little large, and I had to return the first pair for a smaller size (but the return went painlessly). Secondly, these are definitely not waterproof! Had I known that I would have treated them with Camp Dry or Nikwax spray first. My dog stayed on the trail almost exclusively, so the waterproof-breach was not from going off into the powder. The seller should remove the claim that they are waterproof-- at most I would give them would be water resistant. They definitely kept my dog's feet from getting ripped up-- towards the end of the hike on day two I pulled the boots because they were wet again, despite being thoroughly dried the night prior. Dog hiked out barefoot on the same ski trails for the last 2 miles, and one of his pads got mildly abraded from the crusty, icy snow.I will keep these because they do offer good protection, and were a nice fit, but will be treating them with waterproof fabric for future use.

Nice boot for inclement weather
The blue color stands out nicely on a gray and white dog and the Large size fits my shaved 55 lb (small) Old English Sheepdog almost perfectly. Based on some of the other reviews I had some doubts that the sizing/shape of the boot would work for us (though the OES breed standard specifies small, round paws - more like cats; canine paws are more typically oval - this particular dog's paws are nonetheless a little longer than they are wide) and I was also concerned that the placement of the Velcro strap was a little too low to fit comfortably. But, as noted, the fit was fine and very functional. These are not the easiest boots to get on if your dog is not the cooperate sort. My girl has worn boots before and knows better than to argue with me, so for us they are an easy on and off. Not to say she was thrilled to be wearing them, but that's no reflection on the boot itself, rather her outlook on wearing boots, which she does grudgingly in general. That said, I purchased them right before a snow storm and a visit to Upstate NY, so she got to test them in heavy, wet snow. Mind you, she's almost 12 - and though a retired agility dog and still active for her age - it's not like we put the boots through any vigorous activity testing or marathon marches. But trotting around through deep snow, slush and icy puddles and leaping through some snow drifts, no problem. They're well constructed, indeed waterproof, with a nice inner lining that adds some warming effect without any uncomfortable bulkiness. Please note that though the bottoms are very nice and give good traction under normal circumstances, including indoor surfaces, I would be careful using them on sheer ice.

Size large
Excellent quality and they look amazing. They are light and easy to put on. Washable and good value for the price. Unfortunately they are too big but I am ordering a medium size and will gift the large ones to my grand dog.

really such sub-par durability as to constitute unethical marketing of a product
one walk, then straight into the trash can.context and conditions: they were the correct size for my frenchie. i use newborn baby no-scratch mittens for socks made out of 100 percent organic cotton because they don't have the non-slip bottom almost all dog socks have, and they fit perfectly. i also used a plastic snack bag over the socks to prevent friction between the sock and the shoe, which could cause hurt his paws or wear on the shoes; and to protect hims paws from wet in case there was a puddle or something. i did not drag him along at any point in the walk. (admittedly, he is a stubborn frenchie, who is prone to stopping and refusing to walk at any random point during any walk, but he has a dogger. so when he refuses to walk, i pop him into it). his paw nails are regularly clipped; so he doesn't have sharp, jagged talon-like nails, which could rip through fabric. in terms of activity, he did not run after a soccer ball or retrieve chuck-it balls, which causes more extreme wear and tear on boots because of the gripping and pushing off against ground for traction. the ground was not muddy or wet from rain or snow. the terrain was not like an arduous hike through the woods. we walked primarily on sidewalks and paved pedestrian lanes, with some off-leash time, during which he ran and walked on clear, grass fields, which are used during warm months for sports activities like soccer and football.one walk: they lasted one walk of about an hour and a half. when we returned, the fabric was ripped open to the lining around the front toe seam. His socks were covered with dirt, and there was a hole in a sole. His poor paws were red, and i had to skip a couple walks to give his paws time to become less irritated. this type of wear and effect for one normal walk is just really...unconscionable. they should be ashamed.

Pretty Good
I have a 80 lb shepherd mix and purchased the Large blue booties. It fit nicely (on the right size). The straps keep them in place…they didn’t rotate on his paws when he was running. The bottom rubber is thick enough. Cons: although it does keep his paws dry, it’s not very insulated so can’t use it for extreme cold. I haven’t had them long enough to comment on durability. Overall I’m happy with them so far.

Would never use another bootie for my dog
We swear by these booties for our retriever/spaniel mix!!! He hates booties but we had no other choice because of his irritated paws in the winter. Now most negative reviews talk about poor durability and I wouldn't disagree, however, I would argue that most durable boots are not only very expensive, but super uncomfortable/not flexible. We tried many of these brands but the boot was so tough our dog refused to walk in them, forcing us to look at more comfortable and flexible materials. Now the problem with most flexible materials is it is not waterproof. These boots fit right in the middle. Comfortable and flexible yet waterproof. They may wear down at the toe (especially when he's walking on cement), but considering the cost I would rather these and replace them every year. Our dog will actually walk in these and they protect him against the snow and salt great! Plus we love the velcro strap is reflective for night time walks.

Size of Booties for Large Dogs - Bad experience.
I got large booties, figuring since they were called booties for large dogs.I measured, and re-measured, wish I could get a refund or a pair of yourextra large booties. If you think your dog needs the large - get extra large. The product is good quality. But their sizing is poor. Now my dog is walkingthrough rock salt to melt the snow and ice. I gave the booties to my sisterwith a french bulldog - a small dog compared to my husky. They didn't evenfit a small dog. :(I hope the company might send me a pair of extra large (your largest) booties,I'd happily revise this review. My dog and I still have many months of snowand salt. I'd send back the smaller pair but I gave them to my sister hopingit'd fit her dog's paws.Again - the quality felt god and sturdy, with good looking traction control.Steve

Not Sturdy
These boots did not even last him 1 week. I have a 100lbs Dutch Shepherd and he ran around on the pavement, grass, snow, water, etc. All his boots ripped around the sole. Boots are good if they are only for walking only. Not waterproof.

Needs to be easier to put on the dogs feet
I like these "paw boots" and they seem quite robust. However they are very difficult to put on - especially if you have ordered the correct size. The main issue is that the knitted cuff (and the top of the boot) are rather small compared to the size of the paw. You Need two hands to expand the cuff but even then it is a quite a snug fit over the paw. Once in it is a good fit for paw and leg - no issues there. Unless the dog pushes his paw in (most wont eh!) you are left trying to slide it over the paw but it takes a third or perhaps fourth hand to hold the paw steady. We used these Paw Boots probably ten times and are showing minimal wear. They do appear to stay on even in moderately deep snow. This cures the problem of the dog limping when ice balls form between the pads (a retriever issue).I belief the manufacturer could redesign the cuff (perhaps a split cuff with Velcro closure) to make it easier to install - or perhaps design a tool to make the install easy - something reusable to put in the boot to to make it easier to get the paw in - then remove the tool and use it on the next boot etc.I decided to order and try a different brand ... One that is easier to put on the dog
