English House Model Kit

This beautiful cottage was a gift for my father. He enjoys the challenges of building this style of model home. He has praised the quality of the materials and patterns and can’t wait to start the actual building process. Since he has built several models in the past, he feels he can figure out how to work through building and bricking items such as the arch as there are no written instructions. (possibly they were overlooked?) However, there are diagrams for the “how to” of building various parts of the cottage that he is using. All in all, this is a beautiful, quality model of a cottage for someone with advanced skill and experience.

This is my second model kit from the Aedes-Ars line. As such, it was easier to get started and easier to avoid the mistakes I made on my first one.I really enjoyed myself while making this model, which is not to say that it doesn't require some skill and patience. The only drawbacks are that the colors in the picture on the box don't really match the finished product (i.e. the picture looks better) and that the fake grass provided in the kit, well, it doesn't really look much like grass.I have already begun work on a third Aedes-Ars model (The Great Wall of China) since finishing this model. I like this company and its models. Even though the translated-English-from-Spanish directions can be a little sparse and not always precise, I had occasion to e-mail the company about some aspect of the model and they responded, in English, within 24 hours and answered my question.

I had zero experience with building a ceramic tile model before starting this one. Made some mistakes along the way but the overall experience is very good. Took about 8-10 hours from start to finish. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to try out this particular type of models.

Son horas y horas de entretencion, me ha gustado mucho el modelo. las instrucciones son claras y las piezas vienen en perfecto estado.

Instructions were badly written, parts not clearly labeled or organized. Won’t be buying again waste of money

This is a waste of money when you get it the cardboard is not stronge and my box came damage and brick were all rolling about inside and the price for this was not cheap i would not buy one again.

Fast delivery good kit

I bought it as a present for a male friend. It was delivered within the time expected and the box was undamaged. I can't say how it was the assembling part but I can only say my friend opened the box in front of me just to see the little bricks and all and it looked undamaged, well packed and satisfactory. He said he loved the present.

Per ora è ancora nella scatola, ma è arrivato intatto e ben imballato. Ad occhio mi sembra che ci sia tutto e non vedo l'ora di cominciarlo, ma le istruzioni sono da interpretare. Sono scritte giusto due cose, ma ci vuole un minimo di impegno. Meditativo..

Déçue, outre le manque d'explications, le carton qui est censé supporter les briques est juste un papier légèrement cartonné, mériterait un peu plus de qualité, les sachets de "briques" ne sont pas fermés et celles ci sont arrivées éparpillées dans la boite, la maison est également plus petite que prévue (attention, dimensions indiquées correspondent au socle sur lequel la maison sera posée), je ne recommande pas, surtout pour une première maquette de ce type.
