I have a washing machine that is too good to replace (Miele W1), but not smart.Unable to set it to start on overnight cheaper rate power.Enter the bots. Two of these have now meant I can set the machine to start overnight and be ready to hang out first thing.Not cheap but effective and cheaper than a new machine.Kids love watching the little arm move too.

Nicely made little bot, well presented and very simple to use.No issues with the software and has worked every time.Used the self-adhesive pad to fit to a dehumidifier in the garage.With the plug fitted to a smart socket I could swith the power on & off to the dehumidifier but this would only power on the unit, not start it running.Added the bot and problem solved.Recommended.

Good, works well on the things it says it does, feels decent quality, can’t comment on the strength like other reviews mention. Found it to be fairly responsive, though it would lag once every 10 times, and integrated into Home Assistant amazingly (with an ESP32! With the regular BLE/Bluetooth dongle/adapter, it wasn’t playing).Got to be honest, I bought it with the intention of fitting it under a cabinet to trigger the built-in motion activated light (which I absolutely do not want to take off the wall to make it smart in a “proper” way - it’s huge and expensive). For this, it didn’t work though - as with both ‘switch type’ settings, the arm sort of pauses or jerks halfway through the motion, so it would end up triggering the motion sensor on and then straight back off again! Not complaining, as it obviously never advertised itself as being capable of something like this, but hoping it’s useful info for someone else out there. Can put it to good use elsewhere - for example turning on and off my dehumidifier.

2023 edit:You now cannot use the device/app without an internet connection and signing up for an account. If I could change my rating to 0/5 I would.old review:To setup the bot you need a phone/tablet with bluetooth. The app is easy to use and works fine without an account and without an internet connection (I'm usually paranoid about data security with these types of IoT devices and their apps so this device working fully offline is, imo, excellent).You can set the scheduled time for when the device activates (either on or off) and whether this is a one-off or if it is to repeat; For the repeat you set which days of the week you want the schedule to repeat on; Unfortunately you cannot set a periodic repetition (like every X days, or weeks etc). Once the schedule is set the bot will run the schedule by itself, you do not need to keep any other device (like your phone or a home hub etc) connected to it.The bot can do single push or push/pull, and you can set how long the push or pull lasts in seconds.Ultimately this bot does exactly what I wanted it to do: It does not require an internet connection to setup, it does not require my phone to be continuously connected to it to work, and it will turn a switch on and off to a schedule each day.The reason I did not give the device 5 stars is because of the push/pull action. As other reviews have pointed out the strength of the push is not huge, but it is just about enough for what I needed it for. The pull strength is greater, but as with other reviewers I had to cut a gap into the pull attachement so that the push would work correctly; This brought about another problem, as the cut reduced the surface area for the pull attachment to stick to the switch, and when the bot pulls back, it pulls back really far, far enough to actually rip the pull attachement off of the switch; To remedy this, I had to get some extra double sided sticky pads, and sandwich them together in order to raise the pull attachement up off the switch so that bot would no longer tear it off.So the bot was a bit fiddly to get working, but it does work, and once it works it seemingly works reliably well and exactly as I wanted it to.

I have found SwitchBot to be extremely useful and a great help around the home. I’m disabled with mobility limitations and often even getting out of a chair can be difficult. This is where SwitchBot comes to the rescue - with a press of a button in the intuitive SwitchBot app my lights are turned, the outside lights are on when my dog wants to go in the garden. I’ve even connected a switch to my garage door so that can be opened and closed from my armchair. Things would be a lot more difficult without SwitchBot!
