Horribly finished piece of wood
Definitely not Maplewood, horribly finished piece of wood... Needed it urgently, so unfortunately couldn't return.. Amazon should keep a tab on the inventory they have in their portfolio. I have a thick piece of furniture wood (with the polish scraped out), instead of a fine chopping board, which was supposed to be a gift.

SURELY NOT MAPLE AT ALL
Product does not match the one in picture.has sent a local hardwood, unfinished raw product. Misrepresentation of product. Surely not maple,, which is light . Do not buy.
