I bought this to make it easier to position logs around a campfire. Great tool to have for the price.

Tongs are easy to use. They can lift a log from a firepit with ease. My only concerns is the rivets sturdiness. The tongs wobble at the rivets joints even without clasping a log. Wonder if that's how it was to suppose to be design???

These will be fine for an extra fireplace tool. They work well. I have used them for planting cactus stems. They grip firmly enough to work, but don't damage if you're at all careful. Kitchen tongs work to harvest prickly pear fruit, but for bigger cacti, these are ideal. Massive cacti require moving straps and carpet remnants, but for the typical garden task, these are perfect for a Tucson gardener.

I lost my old, well used tongs. Rarely used on a fire, indispensable for grabbing, things. I say reluctant, because i was sure the old ones would turn up & the inexpensive price of these new ones. Anyway when i find my old ones, they go straight into the trash. Grabber Tong technology has come a long way...lol
