I have received the dash cam a few days back and below is my review:Setup was quick and easy with no issues. I’m using a 128GB SanDisk Max Endurance card, which VIOFO recommends, along with their Viofo-branded card, and it works well.Night recording is excellent, capturing clear details in low light. I plan to get the CPL filter to reduce glare in daytime videos.Firmware update was simple using the steps from VIOFO’s website.Still learning the features, but so far, I’m fully satisfied with the A229 Plus. Great dashcam.

I am happy that I bought it. It's a excellent product not only on fit and finish but for the purpose.Video and picture quality is awesome and numbers are visible. You should also include connector for parking monitoring.

Bought Viofo A229 plus after much deliberation.Pros: Capacitive battery, great customer support, starvis 2 sensor for both front and back camera, numerous positive customer reviewsCons: Expensive compared to other options in the market, should provide cpl filter free at this price point.But comes with a piece of mind pf Viofo quality and support.

Eventually, it developed a minor issue that I couldn’t resolve myself. What truly impressed me was the incredible customer support. After many days of reading and watching thorough selected unpaid reviews (mostly reputed international channels) on the internet, I bought Viofo A229 Plus 2 channel.Cheap China brands like 70mai, Qubo, Nexdigitron, etc were always out of my list. Reasons for preferring Viofo over other international brands like Redtiger, Thinkware, Iroad, etc:1. Viofo dash cams record/write videos at the highest bit rate in the market. Higher bit rate = better clearer detailed videos.2. Viofo dash cams have better heat management than any other brand. It is a success in Arab hence suitable in Indian hot weather too.3. Viofo has one of the oldest history of making good dash cams. Deep roots = reliability4. Only company to provide 24 months warranty on cam and 12 months on accessories. More warranty means company is confident on their own product.5. Only brand to provide 2 K rear camReasons to choose A229 plus over other models:1. A229/A229 plus has better heat management than A119 Mini 2 due to size/form factor. And seamless voice commands.2. 2K video gives more clarity in low light/night than 4k. 4K requires proper lighting conditions.3. With HDR at night, videos are recorded in 30 FPS only even if camera is capable of 60 FPS. And without HDR license plates cannot be captured clearly.4. 4K cams heat up more due to processor getting heated due to complex processing. Video transfer, playback is not seamless in 4K.5. So 2K 30 FPS with HDR is the best setting for dash cams across geographies.Hence A229 Pro and A329 was off my list. Buy 4K if vlogging is primary purpose.P.S. I will use rear cam as cabin cam due to two reasons.1. Starvis 2 – HDR and better true video in low light2. 160 degree FOV3. Better communication between rear cam and CPU (Front cam) due to type C connector as compared to 3.5 mm AV jack. Note: Interior Audio will anyways get recorded in front cam.Memory Card: Use only max endurance cards. 256 GB recommended if you have 2 or 3 channel set up2.
