I'm really pleased with this power tower

I am glad I got this particular power tower. I was impressed that the company selling it contacted me just after I placed the order, before it even shipped to me, letting me know that they were available for any questions and concerns about this product. The instructions were not particularly helpful, BUT between really studying the PICTURES drawn for the instructions (versus the WORDS), I gained some VALUABLE GUIDANCE for assembling this power tower, as well as studying the actual photos of it on the Amazon website, for clues regarding assembly. Those things, coupled with some basic common sense regarding what pieces were meant to go where, while putting it together (such as the longer screws being used through the wider steel sections of the frame where the shorter screws wouldn't work at all, etc.), enabled me to, eventually, assemble it myself. I am female, am 5'9", and weigh 128 pounds, and find this power tower to be sufficiently sturdy for me. Note: It also comes with a jump rope. I recommend getting fitness equipment gloves such as weightlifters use for working out, with this product though, to try to avoid developing sore hands or calluses developing on your palms. I have also ordered resistance bands to use. They are good to have on hand for a fitness regimen, anyway, but online recommendations are to also utilize a fitness band, hanging from a power tower, to help boost the weight bearing ability as the muscles are developed that are needed for doing chin-ups or pull-ups with this type of equipment. I am 69 years old now, and haven't done any strength training for a long time prior to this, so I feel like my body weighs alot more than in does when I try to do these two exercises, causing me to (so far) be unable to do either one. However, my goal is to eventually be able to do them, using this power tower, because I was able to do them when I was younger (and more fit). IN THE MEANTIME, I DO use this power tower regularly, by attempting to do these two particular exercises, which still causes that wonderful 'burn' in my arm (and stomach) muscles that lets me know the muscles are being exercised and strengthened, even though I can't do pull-ups or chin-ups yet. Developing my muscles IS MY TRUE GOAL-- more so than being able to do these two particular exercises, so I still like having this power tower to use while I am getting stronger and more toned. I also use the various hand grips positioned on this to push and pull myself forward and backward, while standing on the floor or on the step stool I placed underneath the pull-up bar to assist me in attempting pull-ups, which is also strengthening my arms and seems to be improving my (slouchy) posture by flexing my shoulder blades as I go back and forth doing repetitions of that movement. Finding things that I CAN do using the power tower, as I continue to develop the strength needed to hopefully one day do pull-ups on it, has made it a welcome and valuable asset to my home. I 'feel the burn' as my muscles flex and develop, every time I use this, which encourages me to KEEP AT IT. It can do alot for a body, is attractive and well-made, and doesn't take up alot of floor space. I find that using it during TV commercials (which I hate watching for the most part) is long enough to get that 'burn' that encourages me that I AM getting STRONGER. So, even SHORT sessions using it have been VERY BENEFICIAL to me. I highly recommend this product!

10/10 good for what it does.

TLDR: 10/10 Well rounded, easy to build, stable. It seems sketchy as the instructions are very crude, but the cushions are good, the bolts and screws are good quality, and the metal is straight and of good quality. The pieces lined up perfectly and I had a fun time building it. While it can be a bit shaky when doing a fast and/or shaky workout, it is stable in more regular use. I’m sure there’s better ones out there for the same price but this one is good at what it does.I highly recommend it.

Definitely a bit flimsy but holds up

The media could not be loaded. I love that it has both the dip bars (which I also use for horizontal pull-ups/inverted rows) and the pullup bar with the hand grip across the whole entire surface. I am 5'7" and my feet do touch the floor if I'm hanging completely loose from my hands, but it's tall enough for most purposes. It does feel a bit wiggly so I wouldn't do anything too explosive with it, but it still otherwise holds up to at least 200+ lbs in practice, according to my experience. I like the different hand positions available. It wasn't too difficult to put together. The dip bars come down but don't come completely out of the way, which is a little weird to me. But overall it works well and I'd still recommend it, especially for the price point. It fits well in my little trailer house and lets me do pull-ups or chin-ups without my head touching the ceiling and also without being so low that I can't get full range of motion.

Very solid power tower with neutral grip handles

I got this power tower for 3 main reasons. First is the adjustable height. I placed this in my basement which has very low 7 ft ceilings. Second is because this tower's measurements were a little narrower than others, so I was less concerned about the dip handles being too far apart for someone of my height, about 5'5''. Third, I prefer doing neutral grip pull-ups, and this tower is one of the very few I've seen that has the handles that come straight out toward you, which allow for that type of pull-up. Frankly I don't know why more power towers don't have this option. I also appreciate that these handles stick out toward you from the horizontal bar, instead of the cage-type setup where the neutral handles are behind the horizontal bar. When I'm doing neutral grip pull-ups, I don't want to have to be careful about arcing my chin above the horizontal bar so I don't knock my teeth out. When assembling this tower, lay out and group together all the different screws and washers into like piles first. You'll thank yourself later for taking the time to do this. Amazon sells a few of these towers that look exactly the same, but under different names. Find the Livebest Power Tower, go to its image gallery, and find the picture that has all the screws grouped together with paper number labels. It's part of a review by J. Chu, "Identify your parts first". This picture will make assembling this thing about 50x easier. Because there's a ton of numbers in the instructions and the print is small, but once you know which screw type goes with which number, everything else will follow. Note that the #22 screws are a little funny in that there are 6 of them, but 4 have washers and nut, while 2 are just the screw alone. But you'll be able to see that all 6 screws are the same.At about 130 lb I don't exactly tax this power tower, but it is rock solid for me. The one I got, there is no play in the dip arms. Every part fit together perfectly. The lower horizontal bar looked like it might not fit right at first, because its side pieces were angled instead of perfectly perpendicular. But once I tightened all screws, everything went into place. It was nice of the manufacturer to provide wrenches, but I took one look at them, tossed them aside, and whipped out my own adjustable wrench and ratcheting socket wrench set. Much easier to get things nice and tight with better tools. I was able to assemble this myself in about 1.5 hours, going slowly and methodically to make sure I did everything correctly. I screwed everything semi-loosely together by hand first, and then once everything was connected, I went back and tightened everything with my wrenches starting from the bottom, going to the top.If you're like me and you attached the top horizontal bar first without having lifted the side poles to their final height, you'll find it super awkward to try to do that next, because with 1 person you can't really hold both sides up evenly and insert the height adjustment knob at the same time. I didn't really want to backtrack and take off the horizontal bar, so in the end, I put one hand on the center of the horizontal bar and lifted that instead, which lifted both side poles evenly and simultaneously, and then I could use my other hand to insert a height adjustment knob, after which, the second height adjustment knob was easy. The only con I could find about this tower is that both the neutral handles and the wide handles have a much harder grip material, rather than the softer foam that's on the middle part of the horizontal bar and the dip handles. I will probably get some motorcycle grips to remedy this. Otherwise, I love this power tower and am very happy with my purchase.

Love it

We love this. So easy to put together, to use and very durable. We use it daily and it's comfortable. Makes our workout more focused. Doesn't take a ton of room.
