Do not turn out like pictures on the box

Well, there is no way you are getting something to look the photos on the box! Hahaha! I posted what we ended up with. I guess they are okay, but not really worth the effort for the payoff. Used pancake batter and tried a couple variations to see if better results. Everything turned out about the same. I didn’t have any issues with the mold sticking/releasing, so in that aspect they worked.

Fun to make and fun to eat!

I used Bisquick Original Pancake mix. Use PAM to coat the mold before filling. To fill one mold it was 1 cup of the mix plus an egg, 1 cup of soy milk, and 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil (might help them come out a bit easier). Stonewall Kitchen Pancake mix is also supposed to be good with this. Preheat oven to 400 degrees, baked for 21 minutes (might try 22 minutes next time for more browning), cool a bit, dump out and trim out the jawline with a sharp knife. Our family scuba dives and these were a lot of fun!

Very cute!

My shark-obsessed son loves this. I use crescent roll dough (half a roll per shark) and knead/shape it into the mold with a lil’ Smokey. You have to play with the baking time because it takes longer than just rolling the dough around the link, but they come out looking great! I bought a second tray so I could make 2 batches at once.

A hilarious ice cube tray

I know these were meant to make funky pigs in blankets, but I got a shark tray for my sister as an Xmas present, and she and her four kids use it to make ice cubes. She emailed me last week to ask me to get them two more. Today, she told me that the kids (ages 15-24) actually fight over the shark ice cubes. She just texted me that my youngest niece just told her "the second shark tray changed my life" and she commented that she had had "to physically separate" the kids as they fought over the ice cubes. I'm buying more.

fantastic product

I used to make pigs in a blanket by wrapping mini sausages or mini dogs with crescent rolls. Since my wife came down with celiac disease I can no longer do that. I purchased to see if I can continue the tradition of pigs in the blanket and it was fantastic. My only regret is I only bought one. Everybody I love them I made a low-carb gluten-free pancake batter and make pigs in the blanket that were terrific! To expedite things I recommend buying two or more

Loving the corn shape!

I am very happy with these silicone molds. I am baking cornbread for my kids' school feast. I did not find the need to grease the molds every time. Basically, if they don't fall out with a firm shake, they just needed an extra 2 minutes of baking. I baked at 400 for 20 minutes. I will say that the vegetarian muffins did not brown as nicely, which makes the design a little more difficult to see.

Fun for the kids

I used the mold when I got it, and the kids in my family loved them! They work better with pancake batter, but I have used biscuit dough successfully, too. Easy cleanup. I'm looking forward to trying jello pigs now.

Cute But Impractical

While, in the end, the tray produced edible treats they definitely weren't as the pics described. The shark sections are very small, even half a hotdog is too large to use. The images in the listing must be using half a cocktail wiener. I made them using cornbread batter, rather than pancake batter, as the packaging suggests, and all but one had a discernable shape. Perhaps a thinner batter would show off the details.I sprayed a thin coating of cooking spray onto the tray before using, this resulted in staining the silicone (see image.) The treats were easily released once they were cooked through.Overall, it's a cute but gravely flawed design. I won't be using this again, the results just aren't worth the work.

Turned out great!

Made my first pancake and hot dog pigs today and they are very nom! Even look like pigs. Simple to do and they came out of the mould very easily. Great purchase and kids loved them. :)

Oink oink!

My 4yr old love peppa pig, so when I saw this I had to grab it. BIG WIN! I make pink pancake batter, and corndog batter. I used pam on the moulds, and the biggies came out perfect! Welk, except for the first few.I used regular hotdogs (tip: dry them well with paper towel) that I cut into quarters, but they were too thick (look at the photo of them in the confection oven). So I cut those pieces length wise, and put the curved side into the batter and pushed it in a bit. I then used a spoon to to add a bit of batter onto of the flat sided hotdog piece to fully cover it. I filled the molds to the top because I could, and they turned out perfect! Ya, the batter rose as it cooked, but it didn't affect the piggy at all. They still lay flat.I made 6 dozen piggies and popped them into the freezer after they cooled. When kiddo wants a few piggies for lunch, I'll toast them up in the confection oven, and will come out delicious. I already freeze my cooked pancakes, waffles, and corn dogs for a fast lunch. Nuking them can make them a tad soggy, so I prefer the oven to prevent that, and kiddo agrees.Another tip: I also put the cooked piggies onto a cookie rack so it could cool faster and not get soggy while cooling. If you put them onto a plate to cool it leave them in the mold to cool, part of the piggy will get soggy (same happens to pancakes, waffles, and corndogs).
