Petest 25ft Reflective Tie-Out Cable for Super Dogs Up to 250 Pounds

Great length choice, this tie-out cable is thin and durable; also, it's tangle-free (definitely, buy again).

I have a 27 lb dog and put up an Arial dog run in the yard. The original down cable I bought was longer and heavier duty, but was too bulky/heavy for my dog to use comfortably. Bought this one to try and it work GREAT. Weight, length and end clips are perfect for my dog. Cable and connectors appear to be of good quality and should last for a very long time in the New England weather.

I purchased this product in December and have used multiple brands over a number of years as I haven’t been without a 70 pound or larger dog in over 15 years. This product lasted less than 2 months. The coating is broken, the flexibility is minimal…I’m replacing because it is not safe for my dog with the wire sticking through the open areas and I ordered a replacement product today. My dog is not aggressive and did not chew product. In reality this dog doesn’t require being tied, and I do so for the emotional security of my adorable neighbour who has a fear of dogs. The normal use and life of this product is sub normal. Very disappointed.

Overall a fine product for the price. After about 9 months, the clasps began to become challenging to work due to rust/corrosion. Today, while letting our dog out, the cable snapped. It had a kink in it from at one time being tangled, and over the years, the outer sheathing cracked, the cable rusted and it wore out. I don't know about you, but our dog tends to find ways to knot the cable and occasionally will pull it to the full length, causing it to kink. Doesn't happen often, but when it does, the outer sheathing is compromised.

Seems to be ok. It is a nice length but after being left outside only for a couple weeks the spring mechanism in the clips are stiff and starting to seize.
