Great for catching all those exciting bugs and critters
Yes, they are cheesy and totally cheapy plastic looking, but they are awesome and the kids love 'em. You get two sets, as pictured, one bright pink and one neon green one. The plastic magnifying glasses are exactly what you'd expect them to be - terrible - but they slightly enlarge and obscure your bug catch of the day and small children will love tinkering with them. The pincher tongues are helpful, for crushing and/or snatching things, that cannot be withstood being caught with bear hands. Our kids absolutely love these for catching all sorts of yard bugs and critters and moving them about. The doors slide open by rotating out and stay in place nice and securely, once closed, so your prized bug bounty does not escape and get loose in the house, unless permitted to do so intentionally.

You can never have too many bug catchers!
My son is obsessed with catching bugs and also obsessed with having different containers to keep the bugs in. This was a nice little set with some extra accessories. Unfortunately he loves the whistles….I will say I was a bit surprised that the sides aren’t mesh. Less visibility and less security.

Helped my kids not be so afraid of bugs
My kids are terrified of bugs and often complain about bug when they see them outside. A bug could be 20ft away and they still get scared. I'm trying to remove that fear and desensitize them to bugs. I figured what better way then to get them outside and have them collect bugs. After showing them which stinging bugs to avoid, I sent them on their way. They had fun collecting bugs and suddenly they were not so scary anymore. I mean they still have their moments of fear if a bug flys too close to them but things have drastically improved. As for these kits, they're pretty good. The kids have no problems operating the tools or the enclosure. All-in-all, we're happy with this kit.

Kids love them!!
We loved that this set came with two big collectors and accessories to pick up and examine our bugs. The quality is great. We have been using these all summer. My kids say they are so fun. Just remember to set your bugs free at the end of a really hot day. The design is really cute. Bug containers are great for the size of my kids hands.
