Handy little tool for film shooters. Makes it so easy to retrieve the film leader from a 35mm canister. Works every time and saves me from opening the roll in the dark!

I bought this for home film development. I like to pull the leader out first and preload my spools before placing them in the changing bag. If you follow the instructions properly it’ll work every time. Great product!

it worked! A little tricky to understand when the 'click' sound occurs just before you slide the last slide to grab the film but I used it to retrieve two accidentally rolled films and it worked !

This product is cheap and doesn’t work. Use double sided tape with film leader to retrieve your film effectively.

Took me some tries to get the hang of it, but just follow the instructions given and when you’re pulling the film out, I found it worked the best when I would quickly pull it out like I was ripping a bandaid off. Otherwise, it wouldn’t really pull anything out

Sometimes a little annoying. Definitely a learning curve but once you figure it out it works fine. If you’re broke like me and want to finish a roll out on another camera instead of popping a brand new roll in but accidentally wound the leader up, this comes in handy. You can use a blank negative strip but this is easier to carry around and takes up very little room. I’ve never had issues with damage, especially since it doesn’t go very far into the roll but obviously ymmv and it’s possible the last few frames could get scratched. Only recommendation would be to label the device itself better because I often forget the order and find myself having to look up the instructions.

This little device is so durable and so easy to use that it is nothing but five stars all around if you’re like me and you’re a photographer on the budget then you can’t go wrong with this. It’s well worth the quality price ratio.
