When these sprays arrived, I wondered if I had received the right product as they were labelled "Repellents and Trainers" - with pictures of various creatures beneath - including cats and dogs! Along with slugs and snails, my own two cats are the other major hazard in my garden, so hopefully this repellent could prove dual-purpose!My review will be based on the effectiveness of the product against slugs and snails, but the packaging does need to be improved as they arrived in a zip-up plastic bag and one nozzle was broken. This won't be a problem as I can use the other spray first and then transfer the contents from the broken spray. However, the print on the back of the sprays was smudged - another packaging improvement needed there.Although the ingredients are completely natural and safe, and I like all the individual smells (yes, even garlic!), the combination makes for a very pungent and unpleasant smell, so I had to immediately banish these sprays to the shed! I also had to wash my hands twice to remove the smell! (Interestingly, I notice that other reviewers like the smell so it's obviously a matter of taste!) This means that I can't spray my front path to stop neighbours' cats from using it as a toilet, and can't use the repellent too near the house at the back.I really wanted to support this family business and their herbal remedies, but I haven't yet noticed any effect on my slug and snail population - although I've not found anything else that works either so my expectations weren't high. I do think though that the repellent could work for keeping my cats away from freshly-dug areas of the garden - and ensuring the survival of a few more new plants!

Slugs are a big problem in my garden and quite often, they make their way to the kitchen too. I want them gone, but without killing them. There are several other ways like drowning them, pesticides etc, but I never want to use them.So I got this with a mixed feeling, as all of my previous "humane" methods failed. I sprayed close to a slug which was climbing its way to my juicy potatoes, and If I could see its face, I am convinced that it made a very disgusted face before slowly climbing down (probably cursing me in the meantime)The good news is that I haven't seen any around my potatoes, and there are no trails indoors either. The best part is that it will chase the slugs away without actually killing them. And I look forward to a slug free garden one day (sorry slugs)Very happy with the product and Five non-slimy stars overall.

EDIT 09/09/24 Just a quick edit to add that the seller reached out and offered a full refund which was great customer service. Obviously as this was a Vine item I didn't take the refund but thought it was important to show that the seller tried to do the right thing. If I could give a separate rating for the seller on this listing I would give them five stars. Unfortunately the review here is for the product, hence the review remains at one star.-------------------------------------------------I really hate giving bad reviews to Vine items but I have to be honest and being honest, this product just didn't work for us.For some unexplained reason we've been having a problem with slugs coming in to the house for a while now. We don't really want to use poison as there's a lot of wildlife in the area so we were happy to give this a go.We've sprayed it both inside and outside the house where we think the slugs are coming in, making sure to give all the areas a thorough dousing in multiple coats. It doesn't smell particularly unpleasant when spraying and the smell soon dissipates anyway.Unfortunately, as I said above, even though we followed all the instructions, it's made absolutely no difference to how many slugs we see coming in at all and so I simply can't recommend in any way.

These repellent sprays arrived in a branded ziplock bag to keep them protected and prevent leakage.The bottles have a trigger spray which is lockable via a twistable bar that moves up and down.It's a wet spray, with fairly large droplets and I used this outside, on my patio doors - to try and prevent my slimy, slug visitors who have taken to coming into my lounge lately.The spray has a very strong scent, with a mix of pine needles, cedarwood, clove bud, garlic, peppermint and rosemary there's a lot of pungent ingredients there. Personally, it's probably a little strong from me to want to use indoors but it can be sprayed indoors and out.So far the slugs are remaining outside but I could categorically say it's because of this but it's certainly not done any harm.At £9.99, at time of review, it's a good price for two 200ml bottles.
