Needs chest strap to secure pack to your body.

I had to leave out a few items that I usually pack but they were extra items and this bag holds everything I really need.They make a smaller bag and a larger bag. I like the tapered design, your are not not smacking people in the lodge trying to get through the tables. Quality construction and actually feels good on your back.

Pros: Good quality material - durable & tough. Easily holds boots & helmet. Easy to load.Cons: Floppy shoulder straps & poorly secured top flap. This bag is poorly designed for airline use. Shoulder straps cannot be removed or tucked in. Similarly the fairly large top flap is loose & secured by only one buckle. Bag is a disaster waiting to happen on airline baggage handling conveyors - too many things hanging loose. With a boot bag, ski bag, travel bag & carry on the shoulder straps are a must but should be either removable or securable under a zippered flap.

I had an older version circa 2003 or so and at 10 years it was finally time to replace. It is really exactly what I want: a pack to hold a pair of ski boots, with a separate pocket for googles and a open area to pack gloves, hats, helmet etc. .... that I can wear as a backpack (a key requirement for me). You may have other needs, but for me this thing is perfect.

This bag is the perfect size for boots, helmet, and some essentials. Great quality, excellent value, I bought once for everyone in the family.
