Fantastic quality - works as advertised and great buy

Fantastic product for the price. Exceptional build quality and long battery life. I have been using this wireless microphone in a church setting at least once a week for the past 2 months mounted on my music stand to amplify my acoustic mandolin. Sound quality is great in that environment.Pros: Build quality, battery life, volume and sound quality, USB-C charging ports, battery level on transmitter, no interference, easy to read display. The microphone cable connection to the transmitter is perfect! Microphone is incredibly sensitive and picks up sound very well. (I only tested the clip-on mic and not the headset mic.)Cons: Power button, mute, and channel buttons are too close together. Too easy to power off the unit or change channel when trying to mute the microphone. (I think the channel button should be on the bottom and small because channels are not something I change on a regular basis. The power button should be on the top, and only the mute button on the side.) Receiver should have a better indicator for battery charge level. There is no volume control but this is not that important as I control volume on the mixer panel. That said, making a small quick adjustment on the transmitter is not possible.Bottom line: Great portable microphone if remote volume control is not needed and one is careful about the buttons being pressed. Great purchase.

Tiny, but mighty!

This system is amazing! Not only are the general uses excellent, but I recently had to use this in a pinch on an instrument with the lapel microphone. While playing an acoustic gig, I had a malfunction with my acoustic electric ukulele. The Jack needs to be repaired, so I grabbed my acoustic and put the lapel microphone on it and was pleasantly surprised. It managed to get me through the gig, and it sounded great. Mixing with this unit is very easy (personally done on a soundcraft ui25r). I actually had to turn in the game down in comparison to my normal mics. I couldn’t be happier. Don’t sleep on this gem!

UPDATE: ITS HORRIBLE - Very susceptible to distance and interference, no volume control

UPDATE: This unit is absolutely horrible to the point that I don't think I can use it at all. If it wasn't so far past the return window I would try to return it. I am using the transmitter within ~10 FEET of the receiver and I'm getting garbled audio recording and dropouts. I am trying to use this for podcasting and I have lost entire episodes because of this junk equipment. Do I have RF interference in my space? Yes. Does everyone in the world? Yes. Are these supposed to be resilient to interference? Yes. Are they? NO. It sounds like the worst VOIP phone call from the early 2000's on a jittery unreliable internet connection.DO NOT BUY THIS.These are really nice in terms of build quality (all metal) and very easy to use (automatic pairing and quick to function, just turn it on and it works out of the box). The sound quality is pretty good, sufficient for my needs and most people's needs. However, it would be much better if there was a volume / gain feature on the device itself. There's not. So whatever gain level is coming through is what you work with, and then you have to make any other adjustments on the mixer or whatever amplification device you're connecting to. This isn't a huge deal, but it would be much better if the individual user could control their own gain / volume while in the field. As it is you either have to walk to the mixer to make adjustments in real time, or have a dedicated audio engineer controlling sound. The fact that they have a mute button is nice. The biggest problem I've found with the device is one of the main features is the digital radio connection, which is supposed to help with security and reliability of the signal. Meaning, it's supposed to make a tight 1:1 connection between transmitter and receiver (with a digital handshake) and use high bands of frequency to avoid overlapping interference and ensure clean signal with no cross-talk between units or other radio sources. It's also supposed to have a really nice 300 ft range. It doesn't. What I've found is that the unit can barely go 25-50 ft before the signal starts to drop off or cut out. Even within a very close distance there's still occasional "blips" or "glitches" that sound like a Zoom or Skype call with a low-quality Internet connection (the sort of "VOIP" robot voice garbly sound). I was hoping and assuming that I would be able to position microphones anywhere in my (1500 sq ft) house and walk around freely with them and the mixing console in a relatively central location and have rock-solid signal anywhere I might roam. My house is not big, but I can't do this. The microphones have to be essentially in the same room as the receivers or else I get frequent drops. To be fair I have a lot of other wireless devices in my house, but even still, this seems a bit ridiculous given that these units are supposed to have good power and make a tight connection specifically to create a reliable signal, but it seems to be the opposite. Meaning the digital nature of the device seems to make them a bit more fragile if anything to interference, and instead of cross-talk or static or noise, instead it's the Zoom-style glitchy drop outs, which might actually be more annoying and difficult to clean up in production.Buyer beware. I have tried a few different products from Phenyx because they look really good, have nice style and seem to have great features at an excellent price point, but you'll get what you pay for. Everything I've bought from them has had some critical flaws and these microphones are no different. Again, I really like them for what they should be - they look great, are solidly built, and work very well right out of the box - but they are super sensitive to distance and interference which makes them nearly unusable in an environment where you need to cover a large area especially with a lot of other radio traffic going on, which is, let's face it, everywhere these days.

Decent product

It does its job. I purchased for my fitness classes and ended up only using it for cycle since I was worried about stepping away from the antenna. The volume doesn’t get too loud but it was clear and easy to connect. I would say it was good value for the price. The size fit well and I like that there are no wires.
