Definitely buy again!
I have only ever had one fish tank before, and as most people do I went with gravel. I never thought it looked that good and it housed a lot of dirt.I have just bought myself a Fluval Spec 19l tank and this sand to put in it, I have to say it looks amazing! I was a little sceptical when I first received it as I looked a sort of dusty brown in the bag. When you put it in though it certainly doesn't look dusty, it looks amazing! More like a natural sand colour.I was really impressed with how easy it was to clean well. All you have to do is put what you need in a new clean bucket(I calculated this to be about 2 litres of sand for my tank). I then put it under the outside tap and set it running. When it was full I put my hand in and swilled it about so the water went cloudy. Keep the tap running until the water clears then swill it about again. Do this until it doesn't become dusty when you put your hand in. It took me 4 cycles for the sand to clear. I wouldn't recommend doing this inside as any sand that escapes could block your drain. When your done simply pour out as much water as you can, then scoop the sand into your tank. Job done.I haven't got any fish in yet as I'm waiting for it to cycle but bits of plant and the like seem to be nicely resting on top of the sand which should make syphoning it clean a doddle, though I haven't tried this yet.Long story short; I'll never use gravel again!

Colour not what it says on the tin....
Really happy with this sand (pewter) but the colour is very different to the picture and description. Looks light grey when dry and a darkish natural colour when wet, but under the lights of the aquarium it is a bright and light natural colour. I initially purchased the Pettex white sand which is so white it looks unnatural so this was a perfect alternative. Only needed rinsing for 10 minutes to remove the dust. Recommended as long as you're looking for light and natural substrate.

Very light colour
Mine came re-bagged since the original bag was slightly damaged to the point that the sand would have leaked out. And it was very, very dusty. So much so that I wish I had taken it outside before opening the bag. I assume it must have been around awhile and moved a lot, which can generate dust in mineral products. Of course it therefore required many rounds of rinsing. The sand itself suited my aquarium okay. It is quite course and sharp but looks good in my opinion. The colour looks pale (dusty) grey in the bag, but in the tank under light you might think it is a dull white colour it is so bright. I was hoping for a darker, more grey tint, but it still looks good. Would probably look very natural in a saltwater reef set up..

beautiful
I was aiming for a sand that wasn't such an intense yellow and this is perfect and the best value for money!Perfect for my 60L tank, covered the base well, almost an inch all around.spent a while washing it till the water ran clean before putting it in the tank and luckiny I have a decent size drift wood sitting in the middle of the tank so filling with water was no problem. The issue I find is, I have guppies, around 30 of them, and they poop like troopers, so it doe stend to show up on the sand more so than with the gravel. Also black algae likes to grow on the glass where the sand covers it, so dig deep when cleaning the glass. If you are siphoning the sand some of it will inevitably come up so don't be supprised.Overall I do feel that this is the best choice of media for my purpouses and I can't reccomend it enough!
