So far so good
I have used them on four hikes so far. No debris made it into my shoes, and that is the main reason I got them. I like the softness and feel of the fabric on top and that I can tighten them at the top. I like the height of them as well. A bit annoying I have to take my shoes off to put them off and on, but not a big deal. The buckle is plastic, but it works good and I haven’t had any issues yet. The reason for taking a star off is because they are not completely waterproof. The black material that goes over the shoe laces seems to be waterproof, but the softer material isn’t. At least that is the impression I got while I was hand washing them. I like them quite a bit and will continue to wear them on future hikes. Would definitely recommend to fellow hikers.
