Look, it’s hard to know for sure if a supplement is working, human biology being what it is.That said I do think this one does what it says it does. I bought the Natures Plus Pro Berberine Supplement specifically because it was one of the few brands out there that was available in tablets. I wanted to be able to break up the tablets so I could take smaller doses, especially starting out, because I wasn't sure how my body would react to it.These seem to be a good, high quality supplement... I can tell it's a pretty decent formula too because I've already experienced some of the classic side effects of berberine that were not present before I started it. (The jury's still out on how I feel about the berberine itself, so this review is NOT about that.)Anyhow, these tablets are pretty robust so I can't break them by hand or even with a knife. I've had to put them in a ziploc bag and use a hammer to break them, which works, but doesn't provide great precision.I'm glad I gave these a shot. Hopefully they are available on Amazon again soon so I can keep ordering.

This is a good dosage for a berberine supplement. I appreciate that there are alternative options out there. These pills are not capsules but are still fairly easy to swallow. They seem to be smooth and don't get stuck in my throat. This is a relatively high dosage, which I appreciate.

This berberine has been working well for me. Being a tablet be sure to swallow it quickly as berberine doesn’t taste that great. HahaRecommended!

A couple of years ago, I used berberine to help me fix a GI tract problem. Now, I take berberine periodically for maintenance purposes. In my own case, I had tried an OTC anti-gas pill for a few weeks not knowing it was actually a surfactant (aka emulsifier). And I didn't know because I didn't bother to look. But I had problems as a result. To break that film loose so my small intestines could properly function again, I turned to berberine after researching the problem. After a few days, I noticed things started moving again.Of course, I don't take surfactant pills anymore. And I don't need to be on a regimen of berberine to fix that. I just like the idea of proactively cleaning things up to keep the machinery tuned.As with even our whole foods these days, there are unscrupulous brands and suppliers that contaminate what we put into our bodies. So it's important to get unadulterated supplements. The people at Nature's Plus apparently value the health of their customers, at least that's what I gather from the label. This product contains no GMOs and thus no glyphosate. Also no sugar or HFC. The dosage is on par with other brands I have tried, and the capsules are easy to swallow.

I use supplements to help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies, and some of the lowest. So I try and give a detailed enough review to get to know the company and product better, to help you determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out.This bottle comes about half full, which is one of my pet peeves with many supplement companies. If used as directed it will last one month. I would prefer they use more tablets and/or a smaller bottle.The "best by" date on mine is May 2027, so a little more than 2.5 years from now.The tablets have a slightly herbal scent and taste, and are easy to swallow with water.I like my supplement bottles to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and Made in USA. This one says non-GMO, and it also says no magnesium stearate, which is nice to see for once! But they still use things like silica, which many companies say they need to use, but the manufacturers of the highest quality supplements that I am aware of refuse to. It also says manufactured by Natural Organics, with an address in New York. Their website says they are cGMP compliant.I look into the supplement companies I use because I've come across so many questionable ones. Their naturesplus site is functional, and has their phone number. It says they are a family-driven company, starting over 50 years ago. There is quite a bit of information on the company there, which is worth taking a look.I seem to take longer than most to see results when starting a new supplement, but I've had good experience with this company before, and while the price seems a bit high, it is worth considering that you're getting a good supplement from a reliable company.Thank you for reading, I hope it was helpful.
