As an experiment I put 3 of these 4" above water that's 8" deep, with zoanthids and rhodactis mushrooms sitting about 2" off the bottom.The corals are 10" under the lights, 6" being water.The blues are at max, the whites are 1 level under max.They're over an area that's 16x20".Both the zoanthids and mushrooms responded well to the lights immediately. They've been under the lights for 2 weeks and the zoanthids are growing. The mushrooms are fully open, I've not seen any sign of them splitting yet, though I anticipate they will.

I have two lights on a "long" 50gal tank. One of them went to the bottom because of cat crazies. I bought this to replace that light. This one is much brighter than the one I replaced. It is nice that you can turn down the output if you want to.Will buy another if needed.

The media could not be loaded.  Decent light has a lot of modes/ brightness and darkness u get what u paid for can't complain happy about it would buy again😁

The product was as described and was not difficult to set the wide choice of color and brightness levels. I have an old 29 gal. tall tank with the "old fashioned" hood and light "dome" ... BUT is has a "SEALED" glass panel under that "light dome". So ..... here is what I did and used my old hood this way (see photos)Just My Preference, but I did not want to use the wire brackets to mount the light above the water. I did not want all that "stray light" radiating from the top of the tank, but instead concentrating all the light into the tank. (pardon the flash glare in pix and some lime deposits on that old hood).I centered the bar on the sealed glass panel in the hood - and secured it with piece of tape on each end. I cut a "small notch" in the old light fixture for the power control wire to come through. WALLAH! Now, -- I DO NOT turn on that old light bulb but it is still in that old light fixture. I sits just perfect without hitting the new light bar under it. I posted this idea in case someone else feels the same way about the stray light being emitted from an open tank. (This ALSO reduces the water heater being cycled on a lot because of tank water losing temperature from an "open top")Good Luck ... Indy Grandpa.

I like that I don't need to worry about the remote, it is all attached to the cord. It is used for my office tank, which really helps to brighten things up and make my fish look even better!Someone else commented about the on/off...just hold the button (I think the M - mode button) for three seconds and it shuts right off.Great price, easy to set up.

Put this on my 10 gallon tank and it works great! Super affordable and I love the dimming/night settings!
