These cards work great for travel. They are easy to use, exactly like the real mah-jongg game and they hold up well, after many games.

Cards are easy to transport to play mahjong while traveling. They’re durable and contain cards for both American and Chinese versions.Box was torn and some cards have blemishes where it appears the ink smeared but they were all there and will be easy to take along.

I took this on a trip to Canada with friends who also play Mah Jongg. I purchased these because hauling Mah Jongg tiles is bulky and heavy -not conducive for airline travel. While waiting at the airport, we found a table and easily played Mah Jongg to pass the time.We had fun and will bring the cards again on another trip.

Cards are well made but ,not used to Sooooo many cards to shuffle ,great fun and useful ,seems like they will last defiantly wellmade

It took a few games to get used to the cards. They will be great for traveling. I did go through the pack and take out the extra cards, like two extra jokers and some other cards I didn’t recognize.

My sisters and I enjoy playing mahjong when we travel together, which is often. These cards are high quality, easy to read, and allows us to travel with a lightweight set of cards so we can play mahjong without lugging the heavy tiles and racks. Great product !!

The convenience of cards rather than bulky tiles

These cards are great quality! When I first used them, they felt extremely slippery, which I find is great since I don't want my cards to be sticking togetherThe pictures are nice and simple to read, and very useful for people who are first learning Mahjong who don't understand Chinese charactersThey are quite portable, but not portable enough to fit in your pockets or anything. But there are a lot of cards, which is understandable.If you're looking for a card set to bring around to play Mahjong with your friends, I would highly recommend these cards since they are great quality and pretty portable compared to an actual Mahjong set

Haven't been able to give it a whirl yet, but this is exactly what it says on the tin (or the cardboard box, in this case). It's a great set of Mahjong cards, and understandably it's significantly thicker than a regular deck of cards and heavier to boot. As far as I understand, the cards are *plastic*, like Bicycle's "Prestige" cards.The only thing you should be sure you're OK with before buying is whether you want your cards to have English names/ Arabic numerals on them. Check the pictures closely- this set does have them (and I understand that it's a set for American Mahjong but can very well play Chinese/Japanese mahjong as well).If you already have a dedicated Mahjong group to play with, you might want another deck with more "authentic" symbols on the corners. But if you're just getting into Mahjong (like me) and trying to rope others into playing Mahjong as well (also like me) this deck with its English numbers/terms is probably the most accessible way to get into Mahjong on the market.My thanks to Yellow Mountain Imports.
