Great for the price
Bought these for my vornado e100. They work and are affordable. At first I thought they were to big but when I wet it, it shrunk down and fit fine.

finally an element that works
like most users of the Vornado 40 replacement wicking elements I have a hard time finding a replacement that works. Major problem is they don't wick water over the full height of the filter and are useless as the air bypasses and no humidified air is dispensed. No amount of sump cleaning, water quality, will make them work. This filter thicker than the original worked first time and with every refill. A quick check with each water tank refill showed the wicking elements damp from top to bottom. Water tanks go thru a refill every day indicating humidification is working.

Nice cost but what's up with the black spots
They don't fall apart like some x-brands I've tried. And despite being noticeably thinner and a lighter weight, I found they humidified just as well as any other brand I've used, including the Vornado brand.The lower rating is because they developed mold. I don't know if the other filters I've used in the past have had antimicrobial properties or what, but these filters got very dark black spots on them before they even developed stiffness from the hard water - the stiffness I'm used to dealing with (vinegar soak) but those black spots not so much.
