Q: how long does it take to refreeze?

I don't know for sure, because I bought two so that I can refreeze one while using the other. But I'd say probably no more than an hour or so. It's more a dense foam type of material, not a gel-filled ice pack. It's comfortable and cooling, but not extremely cold like an ice pack.
