These puddle lights were probably the easiest of all automotive parts I've ever had to replace. Took me literally three minutes to swap them out of a 2023 Subaru Outback Wilderness in 102° east Texas heat. The small flat head screwdriver they came with worked well and didn't scratch any surrounding surfaces (if done carefully). The pair I received were labeled "L" and "R" and were accurate even though some reviews mention they were reversed. Its easiest to remove the OEM lights by prying on side closest to the hinge of the door. The projected Subaru Wilderness image is clear, focused, and bright enough to make it worth the $25 cost. There is very slight "play" versus the OEM lights but don't think it will be an issue. I will update this review later should we encounter any issues.

Initially, I was concerned about needing to turn off the door light before installation. It really was not necessary as everything was protected. It was super simple and they’re seriously exaggerating when they say it’s only five minutes to install. As you can see, it only took like 30 seconds.The first took longer just because we didn’t know, read directions, and discussed it. The illumination is actually brighter than the original and quality of the picture is amazing.

These are definitely an upgrade to the stock door lights on the Wilderness… the graphics and brightness are more than I expected

Wouldn’t you like to smile every time you open your car door? These are such fun extras. I was nervous about the install but it was so simple. Like unscrewing and screwing in a lightbulb but on the floor. You won’t regret this purchase.
